Big Red Beard Combs came to be by simple necessity. Its founder needed a better beard comb than the typical go-to plastic comb that may have worked in a pinch, but lacked any type of warmth or character and produced annoying static. Coming from a craftsman background of furniture making, crafting the combs from wood was a natural start. The end result was a comb that was strong, flexible and beautifully crafted. Best of all, no static. The Big Red No. 95 offers the shape of the classic No. 5, but in a hardier size and construction to tackle larger beards. Offered with long and widely spaced teeth, this comb is ideal for medium-long beards This new comb design is an exploration in producing a comb with superb balance between overall strength and flexibility. Starting by using the classic 5 ply laminated material for the core, a thicker solid walnut scale is attached for added rigidity to the body of the comb.
