If You Could See Me Now: A Novel

Cute story about a woman finding herself with the help of an imaginary friend. Enjoyable read that could be continued to tell more about the sister and a possible new relationship. I would have liked more interaction with Luke.

I didn't know what to expect when I started reading "If You Could See Me Now" but I'm glad I read it. The use of an imaginary being fir an adult was a great idea, and the chemistry and storytelling was excellent. Ahern portrayal of each character was clear and detailed. I especially liked the character of the imaginary friend. He was so child-like that he possessed a vast amount of wisdom. If you like feel-good stories with unique twists, I highly recommend this story.

I asked my cousin if she recommended any books, she rated this as her all time fav. I read this book in a few days and found it a heart warming story and very unusual. The story is captivating and I couldn't put the book down, however it is not something I regularly read. I rated this book 3 stars as it is out of my comfort zone, and not a very meaty novel. All up I found this a light hearted, entertaining read with an interesting twist... well worth reading to the end for!

This is a book that cannot be summarized. It needs to be read! I started it not remembering the summary and why I bought it. I was a little thrown back. I couldn't figure out the plot, and I found it slow at first. But I kept on reading. The story broke my heart, brought tears to my eyes AND happiness. If you pickd this book, keep on reading. You won't be disappointed. Just expect the unexpected.

This is one of the sweetest books I have ever read. She writes the characters so perfectly and the story moves so beautifully. I've read several by this author now and this one is my favorite ever.

To start with, I wasn't sure I would enjoy this book because of its surreal nature, but I stuck with it because the characters were so real and raw. I came to understand the thought-provoking intent and enjoyed the journey. I'm enjoying Cecilia Ahearn's books as I read one after another to see where she can take me. It's a great escape - certainly not to be taken too seriously given the "other-worldliness" of her story-telling. I'd recommend this one if you want to get in touch with your inner child... Always a good thing.

Vivid images of Ireland and all its magic . Poignant story of loss, heartache, imagination and love. Beautifully written ..kudos to Cecelia Ahern!

Read this book years ago and was thinking about it recently so I ordered my own copy. I think it is great that an adult can have an imaginary friend, too (as well as a child). I think the end of the book was really well done.

I didn't know what I was getting into when I began reading this one. It was a wonderful experience and at the same time breaks your heart. But if I were to do it again, I would still choose to read this all over again.

Just amazing and the way it has been written. Hope to see Disney making a movie on this very soon.
