Perfect for DIY windows
Exactly what I needed to DIY my windows creating a faux arched window. The installation is super easy and doesn't peel off after install. Just make sure you use enough water. The item looks great and is Exactly what you'll expect-black out. So it's great for privacy and the functionality is all explanatory. Great product

No more early mornings.
I have a west facing window in my bathroom. There isn’t a door between the bathroom and bedroom. The window is opposite the large mirror above the vanity. I need almost total darkness to sleep. I have a black out honeycomb shade but enough light gets around the edges that it bothers me. Also, during summer, the temperature goes above 100 degrees. The window film has blocked the light coming into the window and kept the bathroom cooler. I bought the white color so it would blend in with the outside color of my house. Works great and easy to install.

Good, but light leaks around the edges
Picture: Amazon travel blackout curtain on the left, Velimax white blackout film on the right. Dark picture is taken with curtains pulled overtop of the blackouts. Both pictures taken on the same day, at noonLight: the instructions require that you leave 1/16" of glass free of film around the edges, and a lot of sunlight can come in that 1/16". Other than that, it does a great job of blocking out the light. It certainly does better than the fleece blanket I was throwing over the curtains before this.Application: I found the film applied easily enough. I was able to skip the spray bottle and just use a wet (slightly soapy) microfiber. Instead of trimming once the film was on the window, I measured the window and cut the film with scissors beforehand. In my opinion it's easier than using a box knife even though I did find that I needed to trim a little bit more off the edges once I had started applying since my measurements weren't quite precise enough.Pros: Affordable, darkens room significantly, looks sleek and intentional/professional.Cons: Not exactly "blackout," needs some preparation to apply (could be problematic for people who have difficulties cutting, squeegee -ing, or keeping steady hands)

Great Product
Excellent product! Keeps the heat out very well and darkens your room. I highly recommend getting Velcro to put around your window then put Velcro around the edges of this window film cover. It sticks far better with Velcro than with tape. In addition, you can take it down and put back up any time you like. You will not have any hassle with it staying up as long as you use Velcro to stick.

Works to block light AND noise.
Not only does look great on my bedroom sliding glass door, it also works to darken the room and a bonus of blocking a lot of the street noise we were experiencing. Super eeasy to install, nice look. Would recommend 100%

Keeps newborn’s room dark.
We used this in our newborns room to keep it dark for nap time. Worked exactly as intended. I will note that it won’t cling very well. I’d recommend some sore of tape to keep it up. But room is dark!

This film won't stay "stuck" to the frosted glass on my door-- DO NOT BUY IT!!!!
Do NOT buy this stuff. I ordered and got my roll of blackout film. Cut it. Installed according to instructions. In no time it came off. Film crumbled to the floor. I ordered a second roll of blackout film. Same thing... despite again my following install instructions. During the irst night the film came off and came off again on the third night. Not happy at all. I have a frosted glass panel 25" by 66.5" within a wooden framed door. The wood framing is 4.5" on both sides and the top of the door and 9" at the bottom.

It shrunk a bit overnight
This is easy enough to install. The tape tab at the top is brilliant and makes the backing peel very easy. It blocks all light which is very important to me since we recently built a pantry and there is a window in there. The only issue I had was the next morning, it appears to have shrunk away a bit. There is light coming in around all the edges that was not there the day before. It appears to be sticking well otherwise.
