Sharp and precise All Purpose tool
I've had these for several months now and reach for them quite often. I don't sew but I do like keeping my garments and shoes as pristine as possible and find this little tool to be an absolute must. You can snip the tiniest of things accurately and safely, I've even started removing the little "pills" that seem to accumulate on cashmere/wools/athleticwear, etc. They're really an all-purpose tool because they can handle wayyyyy more than just fabric. Out of desperation I ended up reaching for this to clean out my Roomba...and it worked flawlessly... all you pet owners out there know what I'm talking about! Great quality, highly recommend.

Small but mighty! Great Japanese scissors!
These little scissors take a little while to receive but definitely does what you need them to do! It is well worth the wait! They are small in the hand extra sharp and have a great crunch sound when cutting. The plastic guard that fits over the blades may wear out over time but you can easily fashion something else for it as that is not the deal breaker. The star of the show is the scissors and they do not disappoint. Will definitely buy more! They are small in the hand and they do not get in the way of what you are working on.

Sharp and Compact, but Handle with Care
These thread scissors are very sharp, precisely what I wanted for cutting yarn. They’ve made a great addition to my crochet notions bag, but I quickly learned they’re too sharp to throw in without some protection. The blades poked right through the plastic tip protector they came with, so I made a leather wrap to protect both the blades and my fingers. In terms of functionality, they do the job well. They easily cut through yarn and are comfortable to use despite the short blade. However, their finish isn’t as polished and refined as I expected.Overall, I’m happy with the purchase. They’re sharp and effective. If you plan on carrying them around, just be prepared to find a more durable way to protect the blades.

My wife loved them.
Xmas present in my wife's stocking. She is a crafty person, knitting sewing crochet etc. She has a kit She goes places with and hopefully these will travel along. Maybe not TSA appropriate though...

Very Sharp
I bought these scissors for sewing. They are easier and faster to use than regular scissors. The points are very sharp, so, be careful. The cutting edges are sharp, too. Do not try to cut thick items, as it will cause the alignment to alter. Then, your scissor will not function properly.

Not the best for sewing but well made
I do a lot of sewing and hence a lot of snipping small threads. I'm constantly trimming threads while using a sewing machine. I have several different trimming scissors and wanted to try these traditional Japanese style scissors. They're well made with a good even sharp grind, as you squeeze the pressure and contact is even and smooth throughout the range however there are several reasons why I did not like them for sewing. The pressure to squeeze the handles is much firmer/harder than the typical sewing trimming squeeze scissor. Also the shape of the tip is much more blunt making it harder to get close and reach that individual thread needing closely trimmed, it slowed me down. I'm sure the blunt shape will give the scissor a stronger, longer lasting tip but I need to get closer to the thread at a quick pace. The other issue, which may not be for others is the pressure needed to cut, it's literally twice as hard to squeeze, I snip away probably several thousand times a day when on a big project and the ease of squeeze does matter. Also the area where you hold the scissor is not as comfortable as typical sewing squeeze scissors. These are really nice scissors, they're sharp and well made but not sure they are really the best ones for sewing machine work. I know people use these type of scissors for other types of cutting and I'm sure it will be good for that. They're precise, has a good grind and thick strong blade.

Nice made thread nippers
When my last pair of thread nippers got dull on me, I decided to try this Japanese made thread scissors. They are sharp and look to be handcrafted. They are comfortable to hold and easy to use. Love them!
