It functions flawlessly both ways at 60Hz. I tried it on:Rog ally x > 4k monitor( USB > DP) at 60Hz (It worked at 120Hz but I did not do any testing, so no idea how stable it would be).Windows 11 Pro Mini PC > Portable Monitor (DP > USB). You need external power this way as the DP don't supply it.Pixel 8a (USB > DP). Worked in both desktop and Mirror mode.The cable is pretty thick and could be a problem if you need to bend it too much to get it where it is. Picture quality was good at 60Hz both ways. It is compatible with Rog Ally X and seems to work flawlessly with Windows 11and my Android Pixel 8a in both Mirror and Desktop mode.I connected to everything I needed it for and at this price is really good value. One strange thing with the USB end is that there are two tiny pieces of metal showing through on both sides of the connector joint (See picture); so no idea how long the USB end will last, but it seems quite solidly built.

Does exactly what I need. My use case is connecting a Microsoft Surface Laptop to an HP EliteDisplay (1440p) and it performs excellently. Very cost effective and saves having to use a USB-C adaptor first. Length is sufficient.

Unfortunately this did not work for me from a Windows PC to an Apple Studio Display.The monitor would just be blank once the PC had booted past the post screen into the windows log on screen. I managed to connect another second monitor to see why, and saw the monitor was being identified as the full 5000pixel resolution, which couldnt be sent over the cable.I lowered the resolution to 1440p, which then showed a picture on the studio display, but the monitor was not reliably detected. I kept having to plug in a second monitor to have windows search for monitors, and fix the resolution again.So something about this cable does not work well with windows and an apple studio display.

Works with a MSI MP161 E2 portable monitor and a 5070 Ti! Was having issues with flickering when using HDMI (seems to be a common issue due to Nvidia drivers) so I was looking for a cable that does DisplayPort to USB-C bi-directionally and this one was just plug and play!If you're buying this for a similar purpose, make sure your monitor accepts DisplayPort 1.2a signals with Alt Mode via USB-C and has another USB-C for power (since this cable won't deliver power obviously).I'll update this post if I encounter any issues, but so far so good and thankfully no more flicker!

I have a 1440p monitor which supports AMD's FreeSync that I'd like to use with my Legion Slim 7 laptop with an RTX 3060. NVIDIA cards specifically require a bi-directional DisplayPort connection to enable G-Sync on FreeeSync/compatible displays (I can confirm HDMI will not work). Unfortunately my laptop (Legion Slim 7) does not have DisplayPort out, but it is able to output directly from the dGPU via DP Alt Mode through USB C.This cable achieved exactly what I wanted and I could enable G-Sync through the NVIDIA Control Panel. I've tested it out on a few games, and I can confirm through my monitor's OSD that FreeSync is working and that the refresh rate is changing.I did encounter a problem where I would experience black flickers. This is apparently is a bug from FreeSync/G-Sync and can happen when you go out of the adaptive sync range, and not the cable or monitor itself (though I did not have this problem with my RX 570). I have taken a few measures which seems to have solved the problem; turning off any unnecessary overlays (Discord, Geforce Experience, MSI Afterburner), expanding my FreeSync range to 30-95 Hz, and capping my framerate to 5 fps below the max refresh rate (so 90 for me).So far I have enjoyed smooth, tear-free gaming. Definitely a good purchase! Just make sure your device/display is compatible.

I'm using my Windows 11 PC with a 5070 Ti and DisplayPort, hooked up to Studio Display. Works perfectly! Make sure you plug the USB-C end into the port with the thunderbolt icon, otherwise nothing happens.Also, studio display speakers aren't recognised, but using the headphone jack on your PC will work.

Volevo collegare il mio PC windows al monitor Apple studio display. Questo cavo ha risolto il mio problema, anche se pazialmente. Non funziona la webcam e nemmeno l'audio, ma il segnale video arriva, ed è quello che più mi interessava. Il tutto con una spesa davvero modica! Soddisfattissimo!

Me pasé al Bi-Directional después de que el otro cable de Amazon Basics (el Unidirectional con conectores grises) me dejara tirado a las dos semanas. Y la verdad es que ha sido un acierto. Lleva ya casi un año enchufado a mi MacBook y un monitor 4K de 27", y funciona como el primer día.Lo conecto y desconecto varias veces al día porque me muevo con el portátil, y antes con otros cables notaba que al cabo de unos meses empezaban los problemas. Este ni se inmuta. Tiene un clip en el conector del DisplayPort que hace que quede bien fijado en el monitor y no se suelte. Ojo que si tu monitor tiene el puerto un poco hundido, puede costar un poco sacarlo, pero para mí eso es más ventaja que inconveniente.De los mejores cables que he tenido para esta conexión. Y mira que he ido cambiando cada medio año.

Ce câble me permet de connecter sans problème mon PC, à partir du display port 1.4a de ma carte graphique RTX 4090 vers le port thunderbolt 3 de l'un de mes 2 écrans LG UltraFine 5K 27, qui était jusqu'alors réservé à mon mac mini M2. Avec une qualité d'image nickel, en 60htz.Ce alors que je pensais devoir finir par changer ma carte mère ou ajouter un module asus thunderboltEX, actuellement à 127 EUROS. Ce câble n'est pas assez mis en avant lors des recherches alors qu'il rendrait bien des services.
