The Crosman Destroyer .177-caliber hunting pellets feature a revolutionary dish-rimmed design combing the best attributes of a pointed pellet with a hollow point, resulting in complete expansion and energy transfer. At 7.4-grains, these pellets are great for small game hunting, plinking and paper range targets. "Take It Outside" with Crosman.

Great pellets, will buy more.
These pellets are destroyers just like the name implies. Great for pests that are destroying your lovely home or shooting targets like soda cans or pop bottles.Pro tip: when you're done with all the pellets keep the can and poke a hole in the top with a screw driver. You can use this as a char cloth container. Just throw some 100% cotton cloth you want to recycle into it, and pop it your camp fire, then take it out after a few minutes. Viola, you have some great fire starting material. It will take a spark easily and you can nest it inside some nice tender.

Very Accurate and One Shot Kill
I purchased these for my single pump 1000 FPS air rifle. I'm not a hunter, but was struggling with some red squirrels and chipmunks that had camped out in the rafters of my garage, under the siding of my house, in the crawls space of my basement and under the hood of an old van I park in the summer and use in the winter. I tried traps and was able to get a few, but they're pretty smart little varmints and were just having a good ole time building their nests and leaving walnut shells everywhere making a nice mess of my back deck and driveway. Plus my garage is also a home gym so not a healthy situation having droppings in the ceiling. So I needed pellets that were accurate but also designed for an effective clean kill. These are good on both counts. It only took 5 or 6 shots to get targeted in at about 25yds using the scope. After that just about every shot hit the center ring of the target. Of course I am a pretty decent shot, but the last pellets I used were not as accurate for sure so five stars for accuracy. Once dialed in it was just a matter of waiting for the opportunities and the problem was pretty quickly solved. Not to be gruesome, but these are not as pass through pellet. They do some damage.I only have two issues with these pellet neither of which called for a four star rating, but something to know. You really need to look that the pellets carefully since the shape of the ends are very similar so it's easy to try and insert them the wrong way. They can't go in the gun backwards, but in the heat of the moment you need to check quickly so as not to waste valuable time. The other issue was it took two pairs of channel lock pliers to get the lid off. Not sure why they put it on so dang tight, but not a huge deal.Good pellets for target practice and/or getting rid of pests.

Accurate and Deadly.
These pellets perform as advertised. Fired probably about 80 of them so far and none of them have jammed in my air rifle like I've heard can happen with other brands. Some of the pellets seem to fit in my rifle's chamber tighter than others but that doesn't seem to affect how each pellet fires at all. It might just be very small variances in size when they're machined. I've been using these to hunt pest rodents on my property and these have proven quite effective. I've been able to hit every rodent with a clean headshot so far and it puts them down for good the first time without causing them unnecessary pain.

so far so good fairly accurate I sighted my pellet rifle in at 80ft with these and the first shot that I took at a yard pest.... successfully eliminated the yard pest quickly. it did not know what hit it before it was eliminated.I posted a picture of the expansion theses pellets have. It's pretty uniform and seems to expand very well.

Great for plinking or hunting
These pellets work great in my Benjamin Trails. I use both the .177 and .22 with equal success. For those of you having trouble opening these cans: The trick is to be careful not to squeeze the can as you try to screw the lid off. Squeeze too hard and it won't come off - use a light touch and it comes off easily. I agree that they could make a better can but it's probably not worth the investment to Crosman since we're buying them anyway.

Penetration on Targets and Tree Very Good
During practice with my 1250 FPS Pellet Air Rifle at a distance of about 15 yards, the penetration was decent in the live oak in my backyard. These are the only pellets I have ever bought and used; so can't compare with others. I do like the price point. Recommended.

Devastation confirmed
Very aptly named - these pellets allow me to drop mid sized game at medium to close distance. Much better terminal performance vs standard HP pellets - was able to one shot kill a medium/ large coon through the temple and out the far side from 30 yards. .177 has plenty of oomph through my Benjamin NP2 (1400 FPS) to eliminate most any small game - shot placement (as always) is key - these will de-cap a squirrel with ease due to violent collar expansion and deep penetration via the spire tip in the center. Beautiful! Happy hunting all!

Comparison of Crossman Destroyer vs the Crossman Destroyer EX
This review is mostly for the Crossman Destroyer, but a side concern is for those that are considering buying the Destroyer EX.The regular destroyer is a pellet that works fine. Use it as a baseline for your evaluation of the EX product sold at Walmart. Yes, the Walmart spinoff is VERY inexpensive. You think you're getting a deal. But all things are relative. If you're shooting for target practice then either one is perfectly fine. If your plans are for small-critter population control then STAY AWAY from the EX version. WHat you'll get is a continuous heartbreak. You see, the EX version expands too quickly and doesn't penetrate. What you end up doing is maiming the critter. The either walk/fly way wounded or you see them in the neighborhood 3 days later, belly up. Not ONE pure event, just pain and suffering for hours / days.KNOW YOUR USAGE and buy accordingly. There's an excellent visual display on YouTube. The demonstrator shot through clay and cut it in half. The outcome of the Crossman regular vs the EX are immediately obvious. Hope this helps.

Great pellet for hunting!
The Crosman 14.3gr Destroyer has to be one of the best and cheapest hunting pellet on the market! They perform very well and are accurate to take game out to 30+ yards. These pellets much like that of the Predator Polymag are meant for mid velocity pellet rifles 650-800FPS/ These pellets perform the way they are supposed to. See photo. that was fired into clay at 15 yards using my Benjamin Trail NP All-Weather which is a 700FPS or 16 foot-pound gun all day long. They have taken squirrel rabbuit and even a Raccoon out to 35 yards with no problem whatsoever! Stop thinking you have to have the best hunting pellet available when all you need is the Destroyer from Crosman. As long as you do your part and put that pellet where it needs to go, the pellet will do the rest!

Box cannot be unscrewed without 2 channel locks!
Haven't used it yet but from what i read in the reviews it should do what it says and maybe a few odd ones might not mushroom out.BUT! What the heck is with the twist off tin can?! It is on so damn tight that i needed to use 2 channel locks to get it undone! Unsuspecting people without the proper tool would probably just pry it with a screw driver and would have to find another container to store the tiny 250 bbs.

Gimmicky, poor pellets
With airgun pellets, you have to find which ones suit your gun, irrespective of its make, cost etc though in general whatever it is, it will perform better with decent quality pellets. These are not them (Crosman after all...). The shape is pretty much a gimmick that does nothing for flight and they come with the usual oil and swarf. Better off with RWS, H&N or JSB (domed and whatever grain is suitable for the gun's power rating).

Solid. Works good in lis velocity Daisy 840 etc
Fit my Daisy 840 C ...just right. Shape makes them roll into barrel almost always aligned. Crosman always been great pellets anyway. 7.2-7.4 grain seems good in close from the lower velocity air guns. Happy. Buy the big one next time as long as the robots arent trying to rip me in the cart

I think for pest control you might be better off with hollow points
Shot very well from a modified long barrel Crosman 2240 as well as a Benjamin break barrel rifle. The point in the middle of this is very exaggerated in the picture. It is really tiny and not sharp at all. Not exactly destroyers. I think for pest control you might be better off with hollow points. The shape of the hollow point really does penetrate better. Not sure on expansion as vs steel plinkers they both turn into flat dime shaped lumps of lead.
