Know what you are doing and it works great
A bunch of negative reviews on here show some poor preparation and limited patience.I have tried others and this one is better because of the fabric-like material that carries the wax - conforms better and is softer than other plastic types. Also beats the hassle and mess of bottles and crap. Here's the problem guys:If you try to pull long hair out with wax strips, it is not going to work, it will hurt, and it will leave loads of messy wax all over the place. They tell you to use it on short hairs. So what you do is lightly shave your hair so it is short - about 1/4" to 1/2". THEN use the wax strips. Also, you really need to pull in the opposite direction of your hair growth, very close to the skin, and with a super fast snap. Don't do it on a "clean" body. Plan to do it just before you shower. That way the wax will be pulling on the natural oils of your skin and some dead skin which reduces the "grab". If you do it on clean skin, it will grab harder and therefore be more painful. When I first tried these things I had the same reactions guys on here say: OUCH! what a mess! how many times do I have to rip to get all the hair out!?That is because I was doing it all wrong. And if you do it right and repeat I guarantee it is not nearly as painful as it was in your first "trial" run. After I realized how to do it to avoid being painful, I actually got the guts to use it places my girlfriend wanted! Also, I have a whole bunch of extra finishing wipe packets used for wiping off the wax. There is plenty if you don't throw the wax strips all over the place. Come on, just stick it on your chest or whatever, snap it off, then I just stick them to each other when finished, stick them back into the box and throw it out. If you do it right, there is usually only a small bit of wax left on your skin once in awhile and I need only one wipe to clean off from one full body session. And it does work over time - I need to do it less and less now and it is a lot easier than in the beginning. So "MAN UP" guys - do your homework and you won't have any trouble.UPDATE:A friend prompted me to add a couple things since this is such a popular review-1. The strips work better when warm. You can warm them in your hands like the instructions say but I set the pile under a light or in the sun to get them a little warmer than just between my hands. There is a sweet spot - too warm and they are too soft and won't grab, too cold and they are trouble.2. Not all hairs grow in the same direction. When they do, snap the strip in the opposite direction. There are a few spots on my body where the hairs are sprouting in all different directions. So I snap in one direction and then go over the same spot and snap in the opposite direction. This gets most of it. But I would not do the same spot more than twice. The skin can get raw and you might hurt yourself. For some folks with more sensitive skin, they may only be able to do one snap in a session. You just have to find what works for you.3. Always be sure to stretch your skin in the opposite direction from where you are snapping the strips. Snapping without tension on your skin is asking for trouble.Good luck!

A complete joke
These are not only completely ineffective but are borderline dangerous. Followed the instructions as written which are vague at best. The wax on the strip becomes stringy and comes off the paper and basically becomes glue in your hair, even gluing skin together. Because the wax comes off the paper, it doesn’t remove much hair. I had it all over my hands as well and it does not come off with soap. Only 2 tiny little cleansing wipes came with the entire kit. Do not waste your time or money.

not very effective on stomach/ chest
This was the first waxing hair removal product I have ever used. First of all, I am a male trying to get rid of thick excess body hair, and I'm sick of shaving. Its just really ineffective and you get a stubble the next day or so. I have a small epilator, but it is just too loud (therefore my family can hear)So far I've used this 3 or 4 times on my stomach and chest, here's what I got:Pros:* portable* NO MICROWAVE NEEDED --> the reason I bought it* includes pre-wax and post-wax wipes* individual hairs don't grow back for several weeksCons:* not very effective. Removes 30%-60% of hairs depending on the area, but that 40% is still going to be really visible.* PAINFUL* not enough wipes for multiple uses* Somewhat damaging. Left a lot of bruises, and essentially RIPPED off my top layer of skinThe verdict: if you need something discreet, can stand the pain, and don't want to use any form of heated wax, this is a good product--but be aware of its limitationsAfter trying this, I switched to sugaring. The results are better and its less painful. The only advantage this current product has is that it can be used right out of the box without heating.Moom Organic Hair Removal Kit, Tea Tree, 6-Ounce Package

Painfully works
I was hesitant to get these after reading other reviews, but I figured it was only $5, and it was the closest thing to what I was looking for. I got them because I had to have surgery, and I knew they would shave the area if I left it as is. I didn't want that because that gets really itchy and uncomfortable with cloths on. I think the strips work pretty well. Of course it isn't fun, but it does the job. The worst part is the acne it gives you because bacteria can (and will) get into the hair follicles. I found using some sort of acne scrub helps. It is best if you can get someone to help you, as that makes it go faster. However, if you're like me and rather do it alone, it can take a little while. Just make sure you go "against the grain" because if you try waxing in the same direction as the hair growth, it won't work at all.

Doesn't work.(was wrong)
Too weak. Sticks to hair but wax comes off strip leaving a waxy hairy mess and a strip with nothing on it....... These actually work very well. I took a shower and exfoliated my chest after getting dried in used these and they work great. First time I used them I didn't do the prep work so it was all me. Left original post up because I was wrong and admit it.

Expired product??
These wax strips didn’t work at all. They were dry and crusty and clearly very old. No matter how long we attempted to warm them per the instructions, they did not work or become even sticky. This is a waste of money
