Does the job!
When I bought an adapter hose for my Big Buddy heater I saw that the brand name one had a filter, and was more expensive. Silly me, I couldn't imaging needing a filter on propane for the heater. I have other propane devices that worked fine without one, so I bought the less expensive adapter hose. Sure enough, when I needed my Big Buddy to stay warm when the power was off for a few days, it became evident that the filter was needed. The heater would just starve for fuel now and then and shut off. Since using this filter it has not been an issue. Based upon my experince, I think it is a good idea to always use a filter, even on my other devices. Lesson learned.

These do seem to work
When your portable is mounted you really don’t want it to get gummed up. This filter, although pricey, seems to work well so long as it remains straight up and down. My units have swivels. I taped them with foil tape to have the filter remain stationary. BTW, even Mr. Heater brand hoses are not perfect with respect to gumming up your heater.

Price is the best.
Worked well and very easily installed. If you're going to run a heater with a hose it's a good idea to have this in place due to the fact that the plastic in the hose secretes an oil that will get into your system and plug it up.

Made my Mr.Heater run perfect again
I have a little greenhouse outback. I bought a small propane heater to keep me warm in the winter. This heater took those one pound 1lb propane tank. When those were used my heater worked perfect! Well now those 1lb tanks are expensive! They use to be $3.99 each or 2 for $7.99 now they are $9.99 each! no way I'm paying that for a few hours of heat. So I bought a 20lb tank to 1lb heater hose. At first everything was perfect. Then a few hours into using the 20lb tank, my heater pilot would start to flicker and struggle to stay lit. As if there was a breeze going by the pilot light. then sometimes the heater would go out and would not light. I figured the heater was dirty, the heater was getting old or defective, or perhaps the 20lb tank output needed to be regulated...too much pressure? not enough pressure? I did some research and read placing this filter on your heater would fix this problem... I was skeptical because the heater worked perfect for a few hours before....So I bought this filter/connected, And...the heater now works perfect again! I'm very happy and wanted to pass this info on to others who encountered the same not staying lit or flickering pilot light as I experienced.

Works as advertised
Works real good to filter the propane before it goes into the heater witch is always good. Over all a good value for the money.

The best thing for filtering propane
Brilliant!! No more pulling my stove apart to clean out the jets from dirty propane. These filters are fantastic, I can use the bottle right down to the bottom and get so much more cooking time.

I use teflon tape to manage a leak from the tread...
Use saop-water to test for leaks..
