Much bigger than expected!
I have bought several budget friendly lights on Amazon, when I saw this I thought it would be comparible to the little Lominie A20, but wow it’s huge! Atleast twice the size. It’s very very bright and I believe it can grow some of the more light demanding difficult corals out there. It is heavy but we’ll made and very sturdy. Very straightforward with how it works. The timer switch works good and you can adjust the color spectrum. I am probabaly going to buy another one to get better par in my 32 gallon flex, however I think one of these lights would be just fine for less demanding corals. Depending on what you consider “nano”, I’d say this light is suitable for more mid range tanks like 15-40 gallons. It is too much for my ten gallon. Right now it’s sitting on an evo and even for that tank it’s extremely bright. I’m very impressed. Save the $200 on the kessil and get this if you don’t care to customize.

Amazing product! But be ready to buy the other controller (which is also super worth it)
I never write Amazon reviews, but I have to for this oneFantastic light! Mine is only set to around 50% brightness since it’s close to my nano, so it’s a pretty bright light. The only issue is the color strength and timing isn’t as customizable without the remote. BUT the remote is so worth getting! I’m leaving a link here just so you can find it, cause if you have a need for a nano light, this is it! With the low price of this light, the remote is so worth it!You end up getting a well-worth light that comes with a very sturdy, adjustable light stand. and a if you get the remote it’s set.And it’s still cheaper with both products than getting a nano light like AI.And the light also has a diffuser built in between the LEDs!!! So more even spread!NICREW Dual Channel Aquarium Light Timer, LED Digital Dimmer for ClassicLED G2 Fish Tank Light https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0814C7THC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_NDSR70PVRY2WEC7V5XHT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1Add this to your cart too and you have a Grade A nano light ^^^Happy reefing 🤙

Impressive
This works perfectly on my cube 20.I picked it up as a backup because the fan on my original light was going down and I needed a plan BI never intended for it to replace a tricked out bell and whistles light costing 3 times more that I could control with my phone etc etc.But that’s kinda what happened.I didn’t mind any of the preset color, blues are really good. The moon setting is cool but I wish it also had a separate timer. That being said I kinda like being forced to check up on everything one last time when it’s 100% lights out. It’s solidly made and the gooseneck was effortless to get attached.Warning: Steel yourself! I gotta mention that the lights control switch is as barebones as you can get. The timer “starts” when you plug it in so if you have a UPS it’s really no issue. You might feel limited by the presets but I found a great W/B mix for my eye without needing 100% on any channel.

Excellent value, limited tuning and adjustability
Returning to reef keeping after several years away, I was daunted by the cost of lighting. My intent wasn't to be keeping $1000 coral specimens here. But I did want to at least have an enjoyable, economical setup. After doing some research, I decided to try using several Nicrew 30 lights suspended above my tank by the provided cables. At about $60 per light, there's really nothing else comparably affordable at this build quality. While other more expensive Kessils etc. allow much more precise color tuning, Nicrew allows rudimentary intensity adjustment of a blue/UV channel and "white" (with some greens, red, etc.) channel. The "white" channel isn't stellar, but the blue/UV is excellent, and corals glow quite nicely. Running a multiple lights with a mix of color channel intensities that promotes a bit more blue looks quite a bit better than it should at this price point. I'm mostly growing softies and some LPS, but everything is thriving. One note to mention is that I'm NOT using the stock controllers. It's a bummer that the bundled controller is rudimentary at best, but these can easily be used with just about any 20V DC power supply and LED controller out there. Find a timer/controller you like and you're off to the races. At the end of the day, the Nicrew 30 is a respectable entry level light that performs above its price point and when coupled with a good controller, can provide an excellent setup. Will it outperform a top end $600 light? Nope, but also there's not much else out there that can outperform this light at the $60-$70 price point.

Blew my expectations away
Just put this over a 6.5 gallon tank. At 100% intensity it was so bright I had to turn it down to about 25%. It's sitting about 5 inches above the water, it is sturdy and build quality is solid. Very confident in this lights longevity as long as the led's don't burn out but at 25% intensity I doubt they will. Now am getting 166 par at water surface, tank is 12 inches deep so from bottom of light to bottom of tank its about 17". In this size tank it could easily give enough light for even sps imo.Note: I also picked up their dual channel controller and its setup is a little unintuitive but it compliments this light perfectly. For $15 more you get all the control you need for this light and adds a 15 min ramp up, ramp down time.My little tank is cycling now and have a sunrise dottyback coming nov 1st, having this lights a big step towards sustaining a healthy reef. Planning on getting softies and lps in there as soon as the waters ready. Honestly don't think you can find a better light at this price point.

Breaks after a few months and the warranty window closes
Honestly great at first amazing light good for coral growth but it ends up breaking after a while and the lights glitch after months of use and just constantly cycle do other weird things not worth it and was a waste of money

NICREW 30W Reef LED Aquarium
I've been using the NICREW 30W Reef LED Aquarium Light for my tank with soft corals, and it's been fantastic. This dimmable marine LED light is a great affordable option, and it performs really well for the price. I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend it to others looking for a budget-friendly lighting solution for their reef tank.
