Just what I was hoping for! No audio issues, crisper image, not above 480p but definitely bright and crisp.
This was definitely the right choice. I read the reviews on the white version of this converter and then this one, and I was not disappointed. The quality of the image on our giant tv had been crazy fuzzy, and faded at the edges. I know part of that is the TV itself, but I swear this little thing made SUCH a difference.I noticed immediately a sharpening of the contrast, brightening of the edge colors, and no I did not have any audio distortion. Most people who review these note that the audio can be crazy loud with these, so I turned down the TV the first time we plugged it in to be safe, but nope! No issues. Works perfectly and is just what we wanted to clear the wire clutter and sharpen the image a tad. Thanks for helping me play my last gen console games again! This little tool rocks.Note: I bought this along with the AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI Cable - 6 Feet (Latest Standard) and figured if the converter didn't work, I could always use the cable for my laptop! (winwin)

Works flawlessly!
I recently purchased a 48'' Sony TV and came to find that it did not have the analog jacks for my WII. I read numerous reviews on the many WII to HDMI converters and decided to splurge and get this one in hopes that it wouldn't be plagued by some of the problems people were having on the cheaper models. I am pleased to say that this converter works beautifully. It worked as soon as I plugged it in. Some people were having problems with aspect ratio on other models but it filled my screen completely with no cut off or noticeable streaching. It also looks amazing, I was playing with analog cables before and the difference is stunning, not sure if full 1080p or whatever but the difference is night and day. Some people were wondering about audio and it sounds great, I hooked a sound bar up to my TV and I could hear base and tones like never before. It also has a headphone jack on the side but I haven't used it so I can't really comment on it. I would definitely recommend this though, zero disappointment!

Slightly imperfect but still very good
This adapter works, and it does in fact make your wii look MUCH better on your HDTV in comparison to the AV cables, and even the composite cables. Though I must address one slight flaw with the image. There are diagonal stripes that move across the screen all the time, but they are very light and are only noticed by me on stationary solid colors on the screen. If there's a lot going on in your game visually, it's hard to notice.Bottom line is I still like this product because it still improves the image quality by a great amount and I can enjoy all my games in clear 480p. The package says 1080p but the wii can go no higher than 480p and i might be wrong but I dont think theres actually a way to get the wii to put out 1080p (unless you hooked it up to a Wii U?). My tv shows it's in 480p. (Make sure you go to the wii settings and change it from 480i to 480p!)

Works perfect. Greqt product ! 480p Wii can connect to HDMI input using this product. This porduct does not upscale.
Great product. Converts Wii into HDMI signal. Whatever resolution you had with your Wii before using this product, you will have SAME resolution, I had 480p with component video cable, now I have same picture through my 1080p projector. All this product does is allow you to hook Wii through an HDMI input. My Wii looked as good as the Wii could get through my old receiver using component video. Now, using this product, I hooked the Wii up through my HDMI input and it looks just as good. Very happy to be able to hook Wii to my HDMI receiver. This product does not majically boost Wii resolution to 1080p. It simply will alow you to hook your Wii up to an HDMI input. For that, it is a great product and I ammvery happy with it.

Get rid off those component cables - Updated
-Updated April 22st-The device started to fail, suddenly you see just white noise. And I noticed that it was pretty hot. It worked few times after let it cool down.Save yourself of dealing with this cheap stuff and get some other brand.---------------------The device does what is says, sends hdmi signal to the TV, that will save you of having a bunch of cables and change those for a single one.You have to set the output of your Wii to 480i, it's suppose that the device will convert to progressive repack the signal and convert to digital. It's not perfect, I guess there is a sort of missing electronic signal isolation of the circuitry, that causes some artifacts to be displayed in the screen, in my case I see some very thin diagonal lines, that get unnoticed as you walk away from the TV, but really is not that bad if you consider what you paid for.--Note-- The first device I received didn't work well, when connected it was displaying just good old white noise (So if you get the same, most likely your device is defective), Amazon replaced it in couple days.

Works flawlessly
I looked through a bunch of different Wii to HDMI converters, and their reviews, before choosing this one. Most of the other ones were suspiciously similar looking, white in color with "Wii2HDMI" written on them, and those were the ones people were saying were broken. This one looked different and the reviews were favorable, so I bought it. And this one works perfectly. As another reviewer said, the Wii can only output up to 480p. This does not upscale, meaning the title is partially wrong. However, the Wii's output video is now very sharp and many games take advantage of progressive scan (what the p in 480p stands for) to fill the screen with a crystal clear image. I am quite happy with this purchase.

Worked fine, no issues
I needed this for my Wii because I bought a new HDTV and didn't want to have to monkey with multiple cables running up the wall to my TV. This worked fine right out of the box -- I didn't have to fiddle with anything. The one thing I couldn't get to work was widescreen, but I don't think this is the adapter's fault. Since the Wii isn't capable of putting out a true widescreen signal (as far as I know), I don't see the point anyway. Activating the widescreen setting on the Wii would just stretch it or something, no? At any rate it had no effect. I play the games with the black bars taking up a good portion of the screen on the sides. No big deal.
