Purina Tidy Cats Clumping Cat Litter

I bought this from store before and it went well. However this bag is not the same! Super dusty. I feel it already made damage to my lung! Grey dust cloud will rise everytime I scoop, and stay in the air for a long time.TBH I don't know who can be trusted and who can't now. For the entire year I was keep getting bad cat litter no matter what brand I bought. Maybe cat litter is not essential this year, so all the cat litter factories just make their products in a casual way.

This litter is my favorite because it’s unscented and performs well. Unfortunately, the box packaging I usually get was unavailable so I ordered the forty pound bag. I unknowingly cut the bag while unpacking it from the shipping box, had trouble carrying the bag because of the shifting litter, and then trying to pour litter from the bag was a nightmare. Sure, I’ll need to use a scoop from now on but I store my litter in a different location than the cat box. What a drag! I absolutely hate the packaging and will only buy it boxed or in pourable plastic containers from now on. Lesson learned.

I use a litter-robot and have tried several litters over the years, always looking for the best because of things like the modification of Precious Cat (Dr. Elsey's) a few years ago. This is the latest attempt.Odor control:Decent, not superb. I can't smell the litter in the basement from the first floor after the drawer is full. However, I expect unscented litter to not do as well at controlling odor in general.Dust:Still a good bit of dust that kicks up when pouring new stuff, but it's not worse than any others.Clumping:Noticeably worse than other clay litters. The drawer that catches the soiled litter is full of crumbles- it doesn't appear to congeal. This means lots of dirty litter gets sifted into the clean litter after the 7 min timer, defeating the purpose.Value:The price point here is good, and it lasts pretty long. Packaging (bag) is similar to rice bags, and was intact when it arrived in the Amazon box.Since clumping is higher importance to me, I think I won't buy this again.

So happy with this cat litter. For reference my cats were going to the bathroom on the floor all the time when I was previously using other brands that claimed to be absorbent and prevent the smell. I wasn't sure if they just didn't like the cat litter or if there weren't enough boxes so I bought 4 boxes for only 2 cats and they were still going to a bathroom on the floor. Well as it turns out it was because they didn't like the scent and were sensitive to the scent and also didn't like the texture of the sandy and grainy bits used by other brands. I went out on a whim and bought this cat litter expecting it to be another dud but it turned out that they liked the litter and have been using it in only 2 litter boxes perfectly. The only messes that happen now or from me not cleaning the Box for a day or 2 and they go to the bathroom on the floor but that is completely my fault. Cannot speak highly enough of this cat litter I will never stop subscribing to save. If you are at your lass wits end about why your cats are going to the bathroom on the floor or not properly using their cat box you should definitely try this litter it might just end all of your suffering it sure ended it for me!!

So I have been using this brand for years and I only buy the regular heavy Tidy Cat because the light weight tracks all over and sticks to my poor cat. Anyway I always by the jug but for some reason I couldn't find it on Amazon buy the time I needed it or I didn't want to buy a million pounds of it so I bought the bag that is so heavy I can't even pick up to get it in the cat box. I have had it for one day and it's tracking all over the house and it looks a bit different too. I can't ship this 40 pound monster back because it would cost 1000 dollars. Make a smaller bag that is possible to pick up without 2 hands. This is not my normal cat litter and that is a very sad day. Also because I have my fiance out there hunting down Tide Cat in a jug and it seems to be out in many store. Is this the next item that can't be found unless on ebay for 500 dollars. Darn pandemic!!!!

So recently Amazon hasn't been carrying this litter in the box but I figured its the same stuff in the bag, which they do still carry, so no big deal right. For $1 more, lacking another option, I bought the box. Wrong move...my poor cats have loads of litter stuck to their feet. It makes tons of mud at the bottom of the box that I gotta scrape FOREVER, to get off. It goes faster as well, I guess since it's not as absorbent and so much of it turns to mud? Save your money and your time and find a different alternative!!

I absolutely love this one of the brand and had been using this for more than a year. It changed to a new packaging the last one I ordered and it was harder to pour than the box one. No visible difference in quality and it is affordable for the quality. HOWEVER, as I was about to order some more to stock up during this time, the price raised to almost 50$ a bag? Excuse me???? It was at 30-40 before. I guess I’ll try another brand that I’ve been wanting to?

While I am loyal to the Tidy Cats brand (always come nack to it) this type of clay litter does not satisfy my neefs, I can smell the ammonia urine when I clean out the covered filtered catbox, I clean it twice daily, the clay forms hard clumps that remain wet unlike the lightweight Tidy Cat litter I buy in the pail. I will be returning to that product instead, it has never let me or my two cats down. I tried this product based on it contained charcoal, but after using it for last month am disappointed in the performance.

This litter did not absorb smells whatsoever compared to the lightweight one. It also didn't clump urine together properly. It was also misleading because a 40 lb bag is actually a relatively small amount simply due to it being a heavy cat litter.. I was expecting a lot more value than what I received. Going back to just buying the free and clear lightweight from the grocery store.. at least it works properly!!

Cat dislikes lightweight litters cause they get gummy and stick in her wee little paws. Then she grooms and then she gets sick. No fun for either of us! Tidy Cats regular weight litter is getting hard to find but is so much better!! Unscented is an even nicer option to reduce irritants in our home. Great product.

I've always used Tidy Cats Unscented and purchased this because it seemed like a better savings to buy in bulk. HOWEVER, the formula is completely different.1. It doesn't cover the anomia smell - there was a noticeable anomia cat pee smell as soon as I used this.2. It doesn't clump as well. There's one big clump, but lots of smell pieces fall off which are too small to scoop. so they end up staying mixed into the clean litter.3. It's not lightweight. Therefore, even though it's a bigger box in terms of pounds, it's not a bigger box in terms of mass. YOU'RE NOT SAVING MONEY.Tried returning it, but Amazon wants me to take it back to Canada Post, which is a joke.
