Cheap but NOT flat
ProsIts cheapConsIts not flat.Thats quite a big drawback for a stone used to put a FLAT surface on a sharpening stone. I have tools, sandpapers, and the means to true up this stone, so for me its cost-benefit situation: Its dirt cheap BUT I can fix it and make it flat. If you want something that will work straight out of the box, pay more for something flat.

Chinese quality
Nowhere near as good as a Japanese stone, it struggled to cut my finer Japanese water stones making leveling slow and much harder work than it should have been. My advice is to spend a little bit more and buy genuine Japanese. It was at least perfectly true and level.

Unfit for purpose
Bought for the sole purpose of flattening (lapping) semi-expensive whetstones.Not fit for purpose- both surfaces are simply not flat. The face is not in one plane!It’s just a rough, uneven rock...
