MyDigitalSSD 960GB (1TB) BP5e Slim 7 Series 7mm 2.5" SATA III (6G) SSD Solid State Drive - MDS7-BP5e-1T

Just installed this drive and it's working great (see benchmark,) its pretty fast and has a very good price as well. I know the price is lower so there is no software or cable, the thing that I don't like is that there isn't even a suggestion as to what cloning software to use; after several tries I finally found a program that worked, but it ended up installing crap on my computer (I have since uninstalled all the remnants so it is no longer a problem.) Additionally, there were a few things that were broken after installation and had to be reinstalled, this did not happen when I just installed a Samsung drive in my laptop with their proprietary software. See the need for at least a recommended software to use? As opposed to newbies trying to find the right software to use?Overall, I recommend this drive (as opposed to the highly recommended that I gave to the Samsung) and would encourage people to delve into the world of SSD drives because they are the future and thanks to MydigitalSSD for bringing such a low cost drive to market.

Okay, I'll take a minute and write a review. I helped my son build his first gaming PC with the money he's saved for over a year. He was on a budget but I told him SSD was probably the best thing for him. I've never owned one but it seems the technology is headed that way and it was worth the extra money. Couldn't beat the price of the 1tb BP5e so we went with it. Install was perfect and this thing rocks! So very fast compared to mechanical drive.But... It made me hate every computer we own so I bought another for my Dell laptop. It's a whole new computer now. Boots in less than 30 secs and runs like a dream.So... I bought two 500gb BP5e's for the kids old (2011/2012) MacBooks that were beyond sluggish. They now have new life and work beautifully.So to recap... I now own four of the BP5e's and love them all. Can't speak to longevity yet but I can say I can't believe how great these things are running and I can wholeheartedly recommend them

I bought this drive two or three years ago. At the time, it was the best priced 1TB SSD I could find, and I really wanted to upgrade my 2012 MacBook Pro rather than buy a new one. This did the trick perfectly. It has been fully compatible with MacOS 10.10, 10.11, 10.12, 10.13, and 10.14, and I'm still using it. With 16GB of RAM and this drive, my 2012 MacBook Pro is nearly as fast as some of Apple's latest models...and it retains all the ports I need...which is why I didn't want to replace the computer itself. I've had no problems with this drive, and I installed this brand in computers for my clients. The just work. Unfortunately, as the price of other brands fell dramatically, these became too expensive, so I had no choice but to switch. But I got my money's worth from these drives.

This is the third SSD I've used in my Toshiba laptop. The first one was a Muskin 240GB, the second was a Crucial 500GB and now I'm running a 960GB from MyDigitalSSD. i ran a Chrystal Disk Mark test on this drive and found its performance to be as fast as it seemed to be in day-to-day use. (see attached image). It boots fast, runs fast, copies fast and works just as I had hoped.You will probably need a disk cloning program if you want to upgrade and when going from a smaller to a larger disk drive, you will probably need software to resize the partition. There are open source programs that can be used as well.I originally read about this drive at Toms Hardware Guide that constantly tests and reviews cutting edge products including storage products. This drive was placed as one of the best buys for the money and I completely agree.

It won't win any speed awards but so far two of these have been durable and a good value. They are certainly big upgrades in speed from a traditional HD and even hold their own against most other brands. Just don't expect a Samsung Pro level of performance.

Completely satisfied with this purchase! Fast reads and writes transformed my laptops windows experience score from mid 5 to high 7. SSD's are an outstanding addition to any laptop. You can extend the usefulness of an older Intel core duo powered laptop with this storage device and even speed up a current top of the line Intel I-7.

Great little drive. I get a consistent 400-420mbs read and write speed with this drive connected via USB directly to a late 2013 iMac. I would love to try this drive in a multi drive RAID0 array with something like a Black Magic Multi Drive via Thunderbolt.

Purchased this drive for storage and I am very satisfied with it.It's not blazing fast but for data storage, it is fast enough!!!Samsung 950 pro is my boot / system drive with this drive for everything else. Very satisfied with my purchase.
