Love to knit, Love it even more with these needles
Seriously! I debated about spending this kind of money on knitting needles. I've researched all the others, read reviews, looked at other needles people had, before deciding on these. Let me tell you how I came to this decision. I bought circular needles individually, both high quality and cheaper. Of course the cheaper ones I bought before the higher quality ones. The problem with buying them individually isn't just the cost, its that I never know if I have the appropriate needle size or length needed. That's what made me decide to buy interchangeable needles in the first place. Then the decision to spend this amount on needles was made when I looked at other reviews, and thought - if I spend $25-$45 on a hank of yarn, why would I want to knit with crappy needles that I won't enjoy knitting with? These needles are lovely to hold, easy to attach the cables, beautiful to look at, quick knitters! The cables don't twist every which way and I know when I look at a pattern that I have the needles I want. Unless of course it's a much larger size! If you're reading this - don't hesitate - buy them! You will not be disappointed!

Worth every cent
I ordered these last week and received them within a couple of days. They're an absolute dream to use. The wood is coated and smooth, the threaded connections hold tight. And they're BEAUTIFUL. It's like knitting with works of art. I've tried the aluminum circulars with the bend and hate them, and as the finish wears off they no longer knit smoothly. The bamboo I've use were worse. The ends get dull quickly, and splinter. I ended up using an emery board to try to smooth and sharpen them. This was a treat, purchasing these, and I've no regrets. I already told my daughter in law, who taught me how to knit, that she'll inherit them when I'm gone. They truly are heirloom quality.

Five Stars Isn't Enough
I wish each of you could have the pleasure of handling and experiencing this set. I've been knitting happily for several years with the KA interchangeable set. It's great, and a lot cheaper. But these...oh my...the silken ebony wood, the incredibly smooth brass fittings...seriously, I could just sit and fondle them and be happy for an hour. The quality and elegance would scream, but it's much too well bred to do so. It's more like a sensuous whisper.I have a shawl in the works now and the feeling of the needles gliding against each other makes every stitch I form a pleasure. That is a lot of joy per penny spread out over the years I expect to use them.If you love to knit, if you love quality, if you appreciate fine craftsmanship and the art of a tool that was obviously made by someone passionate about excellence, then this is an investment you won't regret. (But if you can't afford these, consider the KA sets.)I never thought I would be thrilled with a set of knitting needles, but there you have it. I can't say enough about these. Five stars isn't enough to do these justice.

Perfect Interchangeables
Oh my, this is the most luxurious and elegent interchangeable knitting needle set. The ebony is so smooth and warm to the touch. The joins are seamless, and they stay joined. There are several cables in different lengths for every project type. I also love the quilted case.

Worth the money
These needles are expensive, but then so is knitting. My only complaint is that, like other wooden needles, they tend to get rough after a lot of knitting. Floor wax solves the problem. I also had one needle break on me, but it was fixed with superglue. I am not sure if you can buy replacement needles individually. If you can, then I would characterize the set as awesome.
