I needed a clamp style meter to measure AC current for a project and constituted the purchase because my old (30+ year old non clamp) Micronta multi-meter was falling to pieces anyways. The CL320 worked well for my immediate need. Now six weeks later I realize that it can only read DC current via the probes up to 200mA. I couldn't even measure the current draw of some LED lights for my truck. Also the clamp is for AC current only... I've never looked into clamp meters before and bought this in a hurry so I didn't realize but it's not an issue, I just wish it could measure more DC current. Also it defaults to AC for most settings so the SEL button must be pushed to switch to DC after turning the dial to position. This must be geared towards AC electrical use. It's handy so no regrets but I'll probably be buying another meter for DC stuff too. Ultimately it's my fault for not scrutinizing all specifications closely when I was in a hurry.

This meter is a great value for the investment. I bought it just for its ability to measure temperature for HVAC work but found that it has every feature I would want in a meter and then some. I especially like the DC clamp on ammeter. The Fluke DC clamp on meter costs more than double the cost of this meter and that's the only thing it does. I would buy another Klein meter in a second!

Spare for the Motor Home works as expected. AC and DC on the same set point and have to select volts after setting knob to volts. Little different than other meters but seems to work just not use to having to set to volts then select AC or DC.

I mean, I have put "high quality" in the title, you would pretty much demand that at this price, given that you can get a meter that would do most if not all of this for half the price or less. So why pay more? Well, I guess what it comes down to is "are you using this day to day?". Like a lot of tools, there's the cheap ones and the pro ones, and if you use them a lot you start to appreciate where the money has been spent to make it a bit more ergonomic here, a bit better tactile feedback on a dial there, a bit easier to read, a bit less shrill on the beeping, and so on. Essentially the design and construction are more refined. I also quite like how the whole thing fits comfortably in the bag, normally with these things you struggle to get it in, and the wires are all over the place, but it seems like theyve managed to make it somehow so you can just put it away within about 10 seconds without wrestling with it like a bag of snakes. The LCD is backlit (if you turn it on) and I had no issue reading it at any angle. The probes are well insulated with only the very tip poking out. Honestly I would never personally spend this much on a meter as an amateur but I could see it being worth it for a pro, I guess for us amateurs there's some cheaper ones in the range. I guess my one gripe is that for the money it doesn't do any kind of 'leakage current stuff' that I can see. If you find yourself trying to diagnose tripping RCDs then good luck with that, you'll have to buy a dedicated clamp meter for that. Other than that, no issues.
