Arrived as noted and parts look exactly what I need. Will install at later date.

Just what we needed
Our light literally fell out of the fixture. We were able to look it up and order this and repair our cannister light. It saved us a fortune

It works.
Pretty basic lamp socket. Does what it’s intended to do. Only negative thing I can say is the price. Why so expensive for a piece of plastic? But it is nice quality so I could be acting selfish. All in all, great product.

CFL Socket Works Fine
The socket itself is fine. Because I have been unable to fully waterproof its housing, the ballast is periodically destroyed -- about every two San Francisco winters. And here lies the problem: I have not been able to find a way to remove the ballast wires from the socket once inserted so I have to replace ballast and socket as a pair. This is my third socket; I'd rather it were still my first. But the price is good.
