Monopoly Luxury Edition Board Game

Sturdy and attractive - centerpiece display for family games

I gave this to my son for Christmas and he was totally surprised. He thought it was the one I have that we used to play together but I told him it was a brand new one. It is beautifully made and a treasure to keep 4ever. Something to teach my young granddaughter how to play.

I have owned and played over 20 different monopoly boards in my time, but this is the holy grail of monopoly boards. This is the board you aquire when you want the BEST! It does not fold up, and get tucked away. It's about 2'X2', x 4"-5" thick, and solid. Display it, play it, and brag about it... I DO!

Most of the set is primo luxe (disappointed that the money and dice weren't given upgrades), and thus enhances the play experience, especially for those who've used the standard board forever. The board stands really high, which looks nice when displayed, but during play it obfuscates view of what the other players are holding.

Honestly a great gift to give. It was beautiful, wellade and more like a piece of furniture than a board game. That was my only problem when I gifted it to my sister as a house warming gift. The board is way too big and unfortunately she wasn't able to keep it. So if the size of the board isn't something you're concerned about, it still makes a really great gift for others or yourself. Just keep in mind that it's to be treated as a piece of furniture.

We play games often and this one is nice to keep out. People always are saying how nice the set is. Is perfect piece at home

My husband is the man that has everything and is hard to buy a Xmas gift for. During our week long time period without electric during Storm Sandy, we played games. Out came the Monopoly game a newer version that I had bought. My husband first response was what happen to the old classic Monopoly game. I just explained this was something different for a change. He went onto say he had seen this Luxury Edition in the wooden box, and "Now that wasa Monopoly game" So with Xmas around the corner I kept it in the back of my mind. I located it on Amazon and did a double take on the price, but decided to purchase as I know it would be something he would love and appreciate.It arrived quickly and once I had a look at it I could see why it cost what it did. It is well constructed and very unique. I have already decided where to put it in my house to be displayed for all to see. Though I did not take eveything apart as it is a gift, from what I did see I am pleased with this purchase.

Bought this as a thank-you gift and was really impressed. This set is beautiful! It is well crafted and the attention to detail is fantastic. This is THE set to own if you play frequently or just really like to display your games.But, be aware -- this set is absolutely huge. You need a big table to play, and you may not have much additional room for anything else! We had planned to bring the gift with us on our road trip so we wouldn't arrive empty handed... but it is so large that it was not possible to fit in the car with our luggage. We actually left the set at home and ordered another one to arrive at the person's home.Despite the size, the recipient was extremely excited and impressed with it, and we even sent the 'extra' one (that we had left at home) to my dad since he loved it, too.Highly recommended for the Monopoly enthusiast who has a lot of room to spread out!
