Carhartt Men's Chapman Sandstone Jacket

This jacket had the potential to be great. Unfortunately, Carhaart decided it would be a good idea to cut its fabric costs by making the jacket 4-6 inches too short. Since belly shirts went out of style a couple decades ago, I sent this jacket back and got the J130 instead. Fits much better, although it too has some sizing flaws; I essentially had to shrink it in the dryer so I didn't look like the Michelin Man.Bottom line - recommend opting for the J130 instead.

Being raised between Alaska and Washington State, Carhartt is a way of survival. I use them for work, not style. My last Carhartt coat has been in use for nine years. This was ordered as a replacement because the old one was finally starting to rip, but is still entirely useable and keeps the cold out for sure. Needless to say, but I am a big fan, and I hold them to certain standards. This is the first time I ordered one online, as opposed to buying it in a store.The fit: Not as good as it could be. I am 5'9", 170 lbs - average build (I purchased Medium). The length of it is a bit short, more for style than function. Additionally, due to the bottom not being made with the flexible fabric, the cold gets in and shirt tails hang out the front. The arms and neck fit well - I like the neck flexible fabric, though it is unnecessary because it is not tight enough to actually form a seal. The hood however, it plenty large. I am actually not a fan of how big it is - not big enough for a hard hat underneath, but it will easily go over any other hat or beanie.The pockets: Awesome job on those. No complaints. The cuffs on the forearms are also different - they are cut at an angle. But I think it is to make it easier to put ones hands in the pockets.Lining: Keeps the direct wind out, but by making it larger on the bottom of the torso, it allows those drafts inside. Wont be a problem for folks with a bit of a belly.Bottom line: Decent coat for the price. Will probably last a long time, as most Carhartt products. But I would not buy it again, and I may buy another to replace it anyway because of the "breezeway."

It is a bit smaller than the size on the label but I love this jacket. Warm, but not excessively... and plenty of pockets. It is super durable... If you are expecting a "lounge around the house" comfy jacket, this is not for you. IT is a durable, working outdoors, made to last 200k miles jacket.

I live in Chicago, gets pretty cold here the inside liner on the sleeve doesn't keep your arms too warm, but if you wear a hoodie underneath you stay fairly warm.Pockets are fantastic and durable! Love the inside pocket.Overall style I think looks pretty rugged. Definitely a mans jacket.

This is an extremely well built jacket, there's no question as to whether or not this will withstand the elements. It's stiff and rugged, but comfortable and easy to move around in. Proportionately, the torso is a tad short and the arms are a little bit puffy, but I like to think that it leaves room for layering. I'm 5'11", have a relatively thin build, and usually wear a size medium in shirts and jackets-- but this jacket is much, much larger than the traditional medium. I looked like a little boy wearing his dad's work jacket, I could almost fit two of my own head inside of the hood. I'm returning it for a size small and hopefully it'll look less ridiculous.tl;drBuy this, but order a size smaller than what you usually wear.

This is my first Carhartt jacket, like it a lot. Fits with enough ease for a sweatshirt or fleece inner layer and is quite warm for most times without. The pockets are handy, the hood very warming when needed and the overall craftsmanship is very good.l This feels rugged enough that it should last a long time. Shipping and service from Amazon.com were great.

I love my jacket. it fits perfect and keeps me warm while I work. it has plenty of pockets for storage, and the sleeve cuffs are awesome for keeping the sleeves out of my way while I work. the seller was excellent to deal with when I asked them to expedite my order. I would definitely recommend this jacket and the seller to anyone who is looking for a good jacket.

Very warm. Very comfortable. Only thing I don't like is the zipper is a little hard to start but I expect it is because it is a well made steel zipper.

Would be 5 stars if it was a little bit longer. Very warm but only hip length.

Classico capo americano disegnato e sagomato per un "prototipo" di tipo americano(alto e longilineo).La mia altezza e' di 170 cm x 70 kg circa con un pochino di pancetta(non troppa)ed ho acquistato una S.Il capo non chiude perche' e' abbastanza sagomato ,le maniche dalle spalle ai polsi sono molto larghe(magari il braccio di qualche culturista).Se avessi acquistato la M avrei chiuso il capo sul davanti,ma le maniche???Questo marchio e' un must per appassionati del genere ,tuttavia,se avete il mio fisico(visto il prezzo)consiglio di rivolgervi altrove.Nonostante il tessuto sia abbastanza rigido e spesso,molto bello il tessuto e il colore(light brown)

So, habe diese Jacke nun ein paar Tage im Gebrauch gehabt. Die größe M passt bei mir (174 cm) wie erwartet. Ärmellänge ist perfekt. Am Bund.. hätte vielleicht ein zwei Zentimeter länger sein können.. das ist aber persönlicher Geschmack. Sie sitzt bei mir so, wie Sie auf dem Bild abgebildet ist. Sie hält schön warm, ist bisher Winddicht.. richtig windig war es aber noch nicht wieder.. Die Jacke ist aus sehr robusten Stoff.. sollte also nicht so leicht kaputt gehen. Die Verarbeitung.. äußerlich nichts zu beanstanden.. im Innern der Taschen ist allerdings doch mal der ein oder andere lose faden. Habe die Jacke in Braun erworben, die Farbe ist auch wie auf dem Bild abgebildet. Alles im allem bin ich zufrieden.

Ich halte mich ganz kurzSchnelle lieferung,farbe wie gewünscht,kein mediaport,keine angeschrägten bündchen wie in bild-und produktbeschreibung,zu mein bedauern die rücksendekosten nicht erstattet bekommen.Vorsicht:nicht jedes schnäppchen ist auch eines.Hab somit bei einem anderen händler mehr ausgegeben aber auch ein einwandfreies produkt erhalten!!!

Ich bin von der Jacke 100% begeistert.Sie wurde noch einen Tag eher geliefert als angekündigt. Die Jacke hat eine super Qualität, die Verarbeitung ist einwandfrei.Es gibt viele Taschen, z.T. mit Reißverschluss.Einziges Manko, der Zipper vom Reißverschluss ist auf der rechten Seite, statt links, wie üblich. Aber das tut der Jacke keinen Abbruch.Sicher nicht meine letzte Jacke.

Excellent coat. Have been outside already in pouring rain and wind and this coat is more than adequate against the conditions. So glad to get it on sale.

Commande reçus rapidement et de très bonne qualité.C’est un blouson, donc court en hauteur mais c’est ce que je recherchais, il permait d’utiliser une ceinture d’outils et d’accéder au poches de son pantalon.Pour la taille je l’ai pris en M, je fais 1m80 pour 95kg et elle est parfaite (taille américaine je pense).

Super Qualität.Hatte bedenken ob Sie auch als Winterjacke bei leichten Minus Graden taugt, sie hält aber schön warm und ist sehr Wertig verarbeitet.

Sehr geiles Teil. Meine beste Winterjacke, die ich bis jetzt hatte. Größe M bei 180 passt auch optimal. Hält auch schön warm.
