Excellent pipe dope.
Using this on a vacuum steam product with temperatures up to 200° f. I find it does an excellent job at lubricating the stainless steel fittings and when I remove fittings there's still plenty of dope on the threads helping to make a good seal. The steam rating and vacuum rating were very important to me and this product does the job well! Must be the Kevlar bits ... But whatever it is that makes it work, it's superior to the loctite product I was using before in both lubrication qualities, sealing ability, and durability. I highly recommend it.

Best pipe dope been using for 15 years
Best pipe dope on the market doesn’t stain easy clean up works awesome great product have to buy on amazon since the local guys for some reason line true blu pipe dope which I think is the worse and I hate the stuff true blu will stain everything and never come off unlike magaloc

Megaloc Pipe Dope
Hercules In general makes top of the line products, but the Megaloc is by far the best sealant you’ll ever want to use. For home & commercial use, heating, cooling, domestic, natural gas, you name it. It does it all. I’ve been in the plumbers & steamfitters union for 12 years, & this, by far, is the best Of the best. Made with DuPont Kevlar, you’re sure to have leak free joints every time.

Even works on wet fittings
Works on wet pipe fittings when doing repairs. Holds up well and worked good In aiding for removal of fittings years later.

Coworker Recommended. Technician Approved.
This stuff is the business! I’ve used it on a variety of fittings for coolant, fuel and oil. No leaks. I have it sealing some 1” fittings for a generator block heater with 36 gallons of coolant sitting in a radiator 15 ft overhead. No leaks. It doesn’t seem to freeze either. It takes on the consistency of freshly chewed gum in cold temps, but it smears over the threads just fine. Will definitely buy again.

Absolutely the best sealant around for plastic fittings.

I've used it for 18 years
If it has threads then you can use Mega Lock on it. I'm a service plumber and I've used this on all of my threads in plumbing. No need for yellow #5 (nasty stuff) or Teflon pipe dope. Mega Lock is easy clean up not like the other product dirty everything, your clothes as well as your hands. I stand behind this product 100% I've been a service plumber for 25+ years. Excellent stuff

Tough stuff
I had a slow leak on the strainer side of a pressure relief value for my home. Using teflon tape wasn;t enough. Slow drip that didn't stop with 5 days or the calicum in the water. Next tried just local stores pipe dope. Still the very slow drip. So finally put the teflon tape (wrapped so it didn't unravel when tightened) and then the Megaloc covering the teflon tape. The drip slowed and slowed and now all drips have stopped. The main problem was the strainer cover has an o-ring. The cover was never indented to hold the o-ring in place. However, the combination of the teflon tape and Megaloc pipe dope overcame the problem.
