Can this be used to preserve boxwood? If so can it be mixed with the glycerin?

I used this product to preserve boxwood (a recipe I got off the Internet) with glycerin, water, and citric acid. It mixes well and turned the leaves green. Although, if I were to do it again, I might double the green just to see if that pumps up the color a bit. The solution was very bright, intense green. The leaves were did turn green but I was hoping for a bit more. Also---the stems seemed dryer than I hoped so I'm going to look for a new recipe. I don't blame that on the dye, I wonder if it needed more glycerin.

Can this dye be used in air plant "baths / soaks"?

As a professional florist, I have used this type of dye many times Have you seen the rainbow roses? This dye is used for fresh florals. It is added to the water for floral stems to drink up the water. When water is absorbed by the flower, it turns the petal the color of the dye. Since Air plants don't "drink" water thru a stem, I don't think this will work for air plants.
