This meat tenderizer has a fairly long handle which helps provide leverage when I pound meat into submission. It has good weight to it, although not quite as heavy as a tenderizer I had from many years back. Sadly, I was careless one day with that older tool and tried a shortcut of placing it in a dishwasher, thereby ruining it. Tried a few different models after that but wasn't satisfied until I found this tenderizer on Amazon. Spacing and depth of the "points" used to pierce the meat is better than many others. Just be sure to always take the patience to wash it by hand and you won't be sorry.

I just received this and I'm really happy with this purchase, especially when I saw it was made in the Ukraine!!! They can use all the support we can give! It is sturdy and the two different types of patterns makes it perfect for the different kinds of items you are working on. It will make it easier for me to make the pieces smaller, of my cat's hard food (his treats!), and also break down the meatier pieces in the canned food, for him to eat. Lynx is 14 and his teeth are good but his stomach has problems digesting larger and harder items. This works perfectly!!! It's just the right size, and feels good in your hand so it makes it easier to use! So happy I found it!!! ☺️

Sturdy light weight tenderizer. It is big enough to do the job but small enough to fit in any cupboard drawer. The dimples are a little smaller than I was expecting, that is the reason for only giving it 4 stars. It does a good job.

It was lighter than I wanted it to be, but served the purpose well.

This works great, this is a replacement for one I had years ago and just can not find anymore, lost in some move. 2 different muted spiky ends and even the non spiky sides can be used to whack at nuts and seeds if you put them in a baggie first. Easy to clean, I just used my sink brush on the muted spikes.

The hammer has splotches of discoloration all over it. It is also roughly made and is not nice, smooth, and perfectly formed like the pictures at all. Althought it was sanded, the edges and mold-seams do not feel nice in my hand.At the end of the day, I hope it will serve its function. If it discolors further, or shows similiar issues as others have stated, I will return it and update this review.

Very poor quality and workmanship of this kitchen tool. Looks homemade, received wrapped in stretch wrap, don't know how this will hold up over time after use, definitely not dishwasher safe material.

Works fine. Made in Ukraine, but smaller than I expected from the photos.
