Rubik's Impossible Puzzle; Original Product; 3 x 3 Lenticular Puzzle Cube Color Change Puzzle for Kids Ages 8 and Up (E8069)

This is hard but not in that it's a puzzle, hard in that you need really good light as the holographic cubes are hard to see. It doesn't increase the challenge of a Rubik's cube in a fun way, it just kind of makes you feel like you need glasses or an Ott-Lite or something. My daughter left it in an airbnb as a gift to the next people because it made her so annoyed.

This puzzle is cursed. Ive been cubing for 13 years and this one frustrates me more than the ghost cube. Well played, Mr. Rubik. Well played…

This puzzle is wonderful on multiple levels. It is my new favorite twisty puzzle, hands down.Just for a start, the visual effects of the lenticular tiles are more interesting than is easily conveyed in photos. From certain angles, each of your eyes may see the same tile as a different color; ironically, this sometimes means perceiving so-called "impossible colors" like yellow-blue or red-green as your brain tries to combine the visual inputs.The main thing I love is that this puzzle is genuinely challenging even for someone who has played with many twisty puzzles. There are two different solutions; the first is shown in the product photos and videos where each side appears as a solid color from a particular angle. This is quite a fun challenge by itself. But the second solution is substantially harder, and really raises the challenge level beyond what I expected!For the second solution, each side "twinkles" the correct color as one views it from changing angles, but there is no single perspective where all tiles on one side show the same color. The one "clue" as to which tiles were correct for the first solution (they show the same color at the same time) is of no help at all in finding the second... instead it was a deduction problem, and quite the mental workout!There is still room for improvement in the design and implementation. Many of the colors can be difficult to tell apart... a tile that shifts between red and yellow might sometimes appear to be orange, for example. The "classic" Rubik's colors are probably not the ideal choice for this sort of puzzle. All in all though, I'm glad this product exists and love the idea!

Do not burden your household with this cursed rubix cube..I have now spent so much time trying to solve it that it has single handedly wrecked my work and home life. Everynight I have nightmares of the terror of this small cube, it now lingers in my apartment waiting to terrorize me everytime i see it. Purchase at your own risk

The squares do change color depending on how you look at them. My son says he believes there are two solutions depending on how you match up the colors. NOT for beginners - start with a regular Rubik's cube and then move up to this one.

My student loves this cube and the other students were sad that they didn't win this prize. The colors are unique, making this a challenge for any young person to complete the job.

The idea is very cool. Its a very hard solve but the turning is quite laughable, the rubiks brand is not well known for its turning cubes. Also, this is probably just me, but one of the reason why the puzzle is so difficult is because the colors are very hard to keep track off. I realize thats the point but hear me out: when the puzzle is in its solved state, the 9 stickers on one side are not consistent in their color, a red might look like an orange even though its in fact red and so on. The white side has the biggest problem with this, in its solved state, the white face barely looks solved. The idea is very cool but I think the technology required to make the stickers needs a lot of tweaking.

My son loved it, and it's a great conversation piece.

El cubo está muy bonito, gira bien y todas sus piezas son de buen material, es muy llamativo ya que cambia mucho los colores con el movimiento no se si esto afecte a personas con enfermedades de epilepsia pero si al girarlo muy rápido puede llegar a marear.Imposible como tal no es a mi me costo 4 días en armarlo. Gran cubo de colección y ademas con un grado mas de dificultad vale la pena de tener. Otra cosa ya con l distribución de Spin Master Games

Nos gusto mucho este cubo. Tenemos toda la coleccion y este es un cubo muy diferente y muy interesante. Totalmente recomendable

El cubo esta hermoso es uno muy dificil la verdad pero gira muy bien y los colores son muy notorios y tiene una textura agradable al igual con la caja y su tematica.
