Q: I don't see any reference to uw mentioned here. i don't want to get the wrong case. is this the uw version?

I have the Verizon UW version. If your A71 is a Verizon UW you have to get a case listed for that. The models are different. As I recall from when I was looking for cases, the UW model is different and it's a European version. Make sure you get the right model.

Q: Is this phone unlocked?

I the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G UW is Verizon’s version. The UW is unique because it has a little larger battery, I have been told. That means if you get a cover for it, it has to be a UW specific cover. The ones without the UW is the unlocked, ATT, etc phones. Mine is the Verizon model and I love it. I paid $509 from Amazon and love it.

Q: What's is the warranty

It depends on what condition the item is listed as; 'New' conditions should include the Manufactuer's one year warranty. Items bought as used will typically only have a 30 day return period.

Q: I see several phones listed, is the A71-5G new?

I think they came out in mid-2020. As I remember it was introduced in Europe first. I am very pleased with the technology, etc. that Samsung has put in this phone.

You'll need a SIM card

The phone is great but the first one to arrive was for a different network. Called the service number and the person was very nice and said that it occasionally happens. They send a prepaid return envelope along with the correct phone. Took it to Verizon and after a 20 dollar SIM card charge, all was good to go.

6 month lock thru verizon

Samsung phones are good phones, please keep in mind you might receive your phone locked and if you are dealing with Verizon, there is NOTHING they (Verizon) can do to assist you in unlocking it - you MUST wait 6 months for them to unlock it. Also, when I received my phone, it didn't come with everything listed in the box (no handset/headset and no travel adapter) otherwise the phone works fine.

All okay

The phone is ok had a lot of learning to do. I went to Verizon store they where able to get me going. It has few quirks dropping the internet connection often not sure if its my home wi-fi or the phone all of sudden your in airplane mode. Now drops blue tooth
