A Great Device for Road Trips
We bought this because we were going to a week long camp (in a college dormitory). We had heard that the one refrigerator in the dorm gets quite crowded and things can "disappear". Taking a conventional cooler was not an option because there was no ice maker on the premises and the nearest town was inconveniently located 10 miles away. This cooler worked great keeping our perishables cool for the 7 hour drive to the camp. We were pleased that the insulation was good enough to keep thing cold even when we stopped for a few hours along the way. (Note: The cooler only works when the car ignition is on; this keeps you from draining your car battery when the car is off). When we arrived at the camp, we switched to AC power. The cooler worked great on AC as well. (Note: The AC/DC converter is not included with the cooler; you must purchase it separately). We were very happy to have this at the camp. It also came in handy when we stayed at smaller motels that did not have a fridge in the room. The only problem we had was that after about 2 weeks of near constant use, it stopped working in the motel. We discovered that the cooler still worked on DC (in the car), so the problem was with the AC/DC converter. We read on line that other have had this problem with the 5.0 amp converter recommended by Amazon. Since we were traveling it was not convenient to get a replacement. We took the advice of another reviewer and bought a 5.5 amp converter at Canadian Tire. Since we got the high amp rated converter, things are working great.Do yourself a favor do not buy the 5.0 amp converter. Buy a 5.5 amp one instead.

A review from an Over-The-Road Truck Driver
Right before i started working as an Over-The-Road Truck Driver, i was told to buy an electric cooler to save money on food and drinks. I researched all day, trying to find the best electric cooler money could buy. I ended up purchasing this particular model.Pros:- This actually does drop the temperature ~40 degrees. I've had bottled water, right next to the vent, ice up.- The lid is easy to throw open and shut. I never had a problem with it not shutting properly.- Plugging this unit in is a breeze and i love how they color coded which way you should plug it in. Hot or Cold?- Plenty of room in this cooler, i can store 12 cans of soda and 24 bottles of water. I probably save $20+ a week bring my own beverages.- Easy to carry with hollowed grips on the sides.Cons:- Please don't cut cost on insulation. Please add a little more insulation. The walls seem to be very thin.- The construction is flimsy and cheap.Overall, I highly recommend this unit as it has lasted me over a year (5+ months of continuous use over the road).Update: November 28th, 2021. Still works, still using it!

Mine didn't work
I liked the "deal" this appeared to be, but it didn't work as expected - not even close! I tried numerous ways over a week to get it to work acceptably and couldn't get it to "cool" even adequately. It was tested in an air conditioned house (always 70 - 80 degrees ambient air temp) and an air conditioned car over a period of 4 full days. Room temp items never cooled down, frozen items (8 x blue ice blocks) melted within a day or two (no better than a regular ice chest would perform), and chilled water bottles warmed up from the temp they were when put in the cooler. I double & triple checked the polarity and it was definitely set to the blue dot for cooling. I even tried reversing polarity (to be sure the cable wasn't mis-labelled) and it didn't seem to warm up either. So, given the positive reviews, I may have just gotten a bad one, but I'm in need for something to work next week and don't have any more time to waste trying another one just like it. The P65 seems to have more than twice the number of reviews and most of them positive (as many 5 star ratings as the P75 had in total), so hoping that slightly different design (top mounted cooling fan & split top lid) will actually work and I can keep it. The idea is great - hoping for the best. I probably would have given the Voyager (P27) a try given all the positive reviews, but it wasn't available for Amazon Prime shipping and I'm in a crunch now where I can't wait for standard shipping to get it to me.The best thing about this purchase is Amazon's SIMPLE return policy!!! It makes it easy to give it a try even when there are a few complaints about an item (you can't please everyone all the time). I just purchased the P65 and it's scheduled to be here in 2 days, so hopefully, I can give a good review on it next week - sure hope so, as I really NEED it to work!

kinda keeps things cool
i drive acrost contrey and wanted a cooler that would work in the car so I could stop buying ice, its not bad but you have to have it running a lot to make sure it stays cool so a 4 hour drive will make my soda kinda cold, don't get me wrong its colder then outside but a fridge or a ice cooler will work better

Father’s Day
My dad is a truck driver and needed a cooler. He loves this one runs quiet keeps drinks and cold cuts cold for him on hot days and when he can’t get to a store. Perfect size for him. Value for money. Durable, and versatile can stand up as an upright with shelves or side ways as a cooler.
