I wasted a lot of time setting them up
I purchased both the water sensor and dry contact sensor. Once setup they worked relatively well, however I have a few complaints especially given the price:1. I wasted a lot of time setting them up, initially and a few other times when I changed my SSID. Basically, with my windows 7 machine I could not get it to work with the USB setup. Wifi setup was not an option as I do not use Android or IOS device. Finally I got it to work using a Macbook via USB. Anyhow, it was a very poor and annoying setup experience.2. With my old modem/wifi router, the connection was constantly being lost - not very good for a water sensor that I rely on to constantly monitor water level. However after changing routers, it seemed to improve considerably.3. No rechargeable battery option. It would be better if these would have an option to recharge an internal batteries via usb power input so that it keeps working when the power goes out. However, I got around that by plugging my USB power adapter (powering the water sensor) into a UPS unit. I also power my wifi router off another UPS. The reason is that I use the water sensor with a sump pump and I want it to keep working when the power is off, I also have a secondary battery powered sump pump.4. The water sensor will sometimes falsely report water contact based on humidity.

Not that easy to set-up
Not that easy to set-up. I first tried using the USB cable connected to my laptop, but my PC had trouble detecting the device. So, I tried Plan B, which was using Wi-Fi to configure the ConnectSense device. That worked better. However, beware! It takes forever. The website (www.connectsense.com) is super slooooow. It is so sloooow that often "Application Error" comes up just to connect to the site. And setting the rules is also soooooo slooooow, and Application Error comes up again. You just have to be patient, and then it works. But it takes a long time.

Happy Happy Happy
I first wrote a poor review because I couldn't get this thing set up. I worked on it for a few hours and followed every single step. However, once tech support suggested I try Chrome or Firefox instead of Internet Explorer, it worked like a charm the first time through. I wish this recommendation had been in their setup instructions and/or on the FAQs or somewhere as I spent many hours looking for this one little tidbit of information. I did get it installed and it seems to be working perfectly. I put it in water to test it and it worked great. It even has a feature to notify me if it falls off my wireless network. I'm very confident I can now go on vacation and will get my notifications should I have another basement flood!!! Thanks so much for a great little product!

It takes awhile for the sensor to dry off itself and go back to a normal state.
I like this thing. It is useful to have it call you in the middle of the night. I know a lot of people don't get waken up from just a text message. 1 bad thing about this so far is when the sensor gets wet it take forever for it to dry off and go back to normal state. It will probably say water detected for an hour or two even though it was only for a second .

Connecting a leak detection device, FloodBreaker, to my phone.
The ConnectSense dry contact sensor has reliably reported inputs from doors to my leak detection equipment. I primarily use it in conjunction with the FloodBreaker from Taco. It continues to notify me via phone, text messages, and emails to certain conditions of my FloodBreaker. The free web-based software available associated with the sensor is flexible enough for many different applications from momentary contact closures to timed closures. I feel the addition of the rechargeable batteries allows for seamless coverage without worrying about stopping to purchase batteries. They have already provided the low battery alert right in the web-based software. It's an overall reliable, easy-to-install, and dynamic notification device! Highly recommended

Piece of crap. Do not buy.
Piece of crap. Poorly made. Does not work.Spent hours on the phone with customer service. The website you have to go to is unreachable. Then the login doesn't work and they have to manually create one for you. Then the built in webserver would not allow the device to be configured. Then the cable method of device configuration failed.I ended up returning it. Completely frustrated after having wasted so much time. It is a cool idea. I can only hope someone with some product development ability actually makes one that works.

Not worth the money, very unreliable!
We bought this motion sensor for an out of state second home. Worked great for a few months, then started to false alarm. Sent it back, Amazon sent me another unit. Once again, worked great for a few months, then began to false alarm. We could not impose on our neighbors to keep checking out the place each time it false alarmed.Amazon gave us a full refund!
