Wow... So I got on the app to find a new handheld rotary tool.... I saw this in my search results, despite it not being cordless. Having purchased it before, the date of previous purchase was June 2020.... I thought about it for a second. Since then....... I've been through 4 Dremel stylo 3 of the comparable sized corded Dremel tools as well... Along with various brands of handheld ones. You know which one is still working??? Yup this one... I had to go through my old orders and come back to write a review. I recall at the time I bought it I was really worried about it being "as good as" a high end brand. Please. As good as?? This blows them out the water. After SEVERAL Dremel brand rotary tools have made their way into the trash due to worn out motors, failed power switches, no longer staying straight as it rotates, and other issues due to wear. This tool still works beautifully. You'll get your money's worth and then some.

I bought one of these in 2016, and right out of the box I was very pleased. In fact, I came back and bought a second one right away, just in case, as a backup. Well it's now 10 years later, and the backup unit is still sitting brand new in its box. This suits my needs perfectly. Easy to change speed, and has handled everything I have thrown at it on either end of the spectrum. I use it for crafts, some minor home repairs, and to do my dog's nails. Prior to purchasing this unit, I had owned three rechargeable dremels, but I always ended up having battery issues, with their lifespan being much too short for my liking, and I was just tired of having to either get a new battery or a new machine. I'm so glad that I did,. I pretty much always use the attachment, and it was a game changer for me, especially when it comes to doing my dog's nails. Not only is it much easier and more comfortable to hold and maneuver, but also the sound of the motor is no longer right in there personal space, which they greatly prefer. I have a rolling stand that I hang it from, and it couldn't be easier. I just bought some attachments today to assist with my own pedicures, which is what made me say "I wonder if I ever even left a review for this machine?". I don't think you can go wrong for the price.

The tool itself is excellent, feels cheap like the plastic just feels kinda like it's gonna break, but it's not. It also smells cheap, if that make sense, like that pungent odor of plastic. However ignoring aesthetics, it's an excellent tool. The button can be flicked easily, and the speed setting is at a nice place as well. The only reason i wouldn't give it a 5 star is because the accessories it comes with are garbage, the cut off disks are a legitimate safety concern snapping on contact with wood, and wearing down in a matter of moments. All the sanding bit grit wears down way too fast, i was sanding some pine and i noticed it wasn't sanding well, stopped the machine and noticed all the grit had gone smooth. The grinding bits are better, but no where near good quality, also going smooth in moments. The buffing tool is the best, but that's not saying much, it's thread is wearing down from minor use and it's shedding the felt or fabric on each use. I have yet to use the drill bits as i have a good drill, but they also look flimsy. I don't care too much about the bits being trash, as the machine is capable of using dremel bits, which are superior quality and not too expensive. Plus i have plenty lying around. The extension tool is excellent as well, it doesn't seem to have any RPM drop off, and can be bent in every way. No complaints on that. The box it comes in, is a cheap plastic case, but i can't complain too much. You have to treat it like a unicorn, but i'm fine doing that as most of the time the box sits empty while i work in a shelf, or it sits with the machine while i'm not working. Don't expect it to survive a fall.
