Love this series
I have read this series from book one. Usually I only read the first book in series because it's free. I like this story and these characters so much I have actually paid for the rest of the books in the series! The story line is getting a little predictable, but I still enjoy the characters and the humor. I recommend this series to anyone looking for an entertaining read without bad language or graphic sex scenes.

Another great book for Fortune and the gang
Another great book for Fortune and the gang. Jana Deleon doesn't disappoint. I'm glad that Carter finally knows about Fortune, Ida Belle and Gertie and regardless of what he said to Fortune at the end, I don't think things are over for them just yet. They will be crossing paths a lot in Sinful and the attraction is still there for both of them. Carter may try to fight it but I doubt he will succeed in the end.

Took off a star because of the ending :)
A great mystery, you had me fooled. But I had to take off a star, I would have been happier with a different ending for Fortune. And I realize things can change and a new direction can be a good thing ; the ending felt very final and sad, to me :(

Love the chance I took on this author...needed a change from Evanovich
Cute book! I'm an Evanovich fan that is getting frustrated with the series going so long and seeming to have really similar "adventures", so I decided to search out other authors that might provide some mischief and shenanigans in a new direction. Cute stories. Not one that I gasp (in frustration) at the end of one book and start desperately searching for the next one in need of following the plot that seems to always end at the same unsatisfied place...with Deleon, each story has a nice amount of closure for the reader and leaves just enough to leave you satisfied with that individual book, but feeling teased that maybe you just need to catch the next book because you're enjoying the tales, and you're excited to be song for the ride.

Great series
Love the characters, they will have rolling in the floor laughing. CIA agent in hiding, two wonderful older women who live in the town of Sinful, but have a mysterious pasts, two groups that are at odds but totally funny, laws that are crazy, and more. I find myself laughing out loud numerous times and can't put the book down - even when my eyes are trying to shut on me. Start at 1 and you won't be disappointed. I'm recommending to my Book Club. There is mystery "who done it", crazy town people, romance on the bloom, and just plain fun! I recommend the entire series. I'm on book 11 now, and plan to get the remainder of the series.

Different Use of Great Characters
I recently started reading this series and was quickly hooked. They are a fast, hard-to-put-down read. In fact, I read 4 out of the first 7 in a week. I enjoy the back and forth between Ida Belle and Gertie. I also enjoy the adventures they go on. This book is different than the others. There was no obligatory trip to the Swamp Bar where things go awry. There were no visits with the Heberts (pronounced ABAIR in Louisiana) There weren’t many crazy boat, car, or motorcycle rides. There was still the sexual attention between Fortune and Carter. It was a different use of the great characters. The plot in this book was a little darker than the others. It centers around a counterfeit ring connected to Ahmad, Fortune’s nemesis and the reason she is in Sinful. Because of a situation that comes up when Carter and Fortune respond to a burglar alarm, Fortune has to take action that opens Carter’s eyes that Fortune is not who he thought she was. In the end, Carter admits that he doesn’t think he accept who she really is. This is devastating for me because I really enjoyed the sexual tension between them and enjoyed how their relationship was developing. I cried really hard at the end. Reviews for future books say this is only temporary. I hope that is true.I am from Louisiana, so my main criticisms have to do with mispronounced names in the audio narration. For instance, Carter’s last name is Leblanc. There is no hard “C” sound pronounced at the end of the name. Also, there are two characters called Big and Little Hebert. The narrator says HeBert, but it’s actually pronounced ABAIR. Sometimes the mispronunciations are so bad that it’s funny.

You will love this one too!
I have read 7 of Jana's books and cannot get enough of them! They make you smile as d laugh out loud all the way through. The antics that the characters get up to will have you snorting out loud, especially Gertie . I'm not sure how easy it would be for someone who has not read the others to understand what is going on, so i would advise starting at the beginning. You wont regret it. My only complaint and the reason i haven't given 5 stars this time, is that i wish the books were longer! I wouldn’t mind the price if the book was a bit longer!! Cannot wait for the next book though.

I laughed so hard I cried.
I LOVE this series. It makes me laugh and feel good. They are well written and the characters are enjoyable and relatable. I hated to put it down.A hurricane blows this mystery into Sinful. This time Fortune is hunting the bad guys that sent her to Sinful in the first place. However, she will not be doing it alone. The Sinful Ladies always create a rollicking good time with plenty of twists and turns along the way.Poor Carter has his hands full with these women.

Carter learns Fortunes secrets.
Well the cat is finally out of the bag, there's a hurricane hitting Sinful and suddenly it's raining hundred dollar bills. Fortune has seen these bills before she thinks and has a bad feeling that they are counterfeit. Then the man who everybody considers may be responsible for the cake money is found murdered in Celia Arceneaux kitchen. That's just the beginning, the last time Fortune came across these fake bills it was during her investigation into Ahmad and if she's right it means he's somewhere close by. Fortune and her friends have never been in more danger and to make matters worse Carter learns her secret before she can confide in him and he does take it well. Now it looks like her time in Sinful with Gertie and Ida Belle may be over but she can't just leave it it means her friends are in danger. This is the most serious book of the series so far and we get to see Fortune in full assassin mode. Excellent.

Easy reading feel good books
I have read all of Jana's books and cannot get enough of them. They make you smile all the way through and the antics that the characters get up to. I'm not sure how easy it would be for someone who has not read the others to understand what is going on so i would advise starting at the beginning but you really wont regret it. My only gripe and the reason i haven't given 5 stars this time is that i wish the books were longer, especially for the price as i would normally not spend so much for a shorter book but i love her books so much i have to buy them. Cannot wait for the next.

Highly amusing read with a side of intrigue
In the main I really enjoyed this instalment in a series that makes me laugh out loud at the situations that the gals get themselves into and how they're slowly driving Carter crazy. I was slightly disappointed at the ending as it felt that it was rushed and a bit of an about turn for where the story was heading. That said, I'll definitely be reading the next to see where it ends up. For me I would suggest that these books are read in order to get the best out of how the friendships develop.

Miss Fortune
This series was on my wish list and when I finally got around to reading it I was pleasantly surprised. The main character is a CIA assassin who needs to disappear. Her boss has sent her to a small town in Louisiana where she soon meets two elderly ladies who draw her into their lives and mishaps. The comedy the two provide is so funny at times I laughed out loud. As each book literally follows the last in time scale it is better to read them in order, but not essential.
