The friend has gorgeous printing but she wanted to learn to do calligraphy. She is working away as a challenge to herself and is thrilled with how beautiful her handwriting looks using this kit as a guide. Another kudo for another wonderful Staedtler product!

these are fine. however when I queried the product I asked for calligraphy double ended pens. I thought that was what I was getting only to discover they are not the calligraphy ones. I will use them anyway but wanted the other.When checking on an item it would be nice to receive only what I am interested in instead of everything too confusing

Does your wife have a “craft” room? Does she like having tons of unused item in her craft room? Then she will love these!!

Great markers for writing and decorating papers, cards, packages, letters, etc. Not ideal for coloring books/pages as the ink bleeds through.

Love the colors and the tips of brush lettering!! Great pens for beginners too!

The markers were wet and well-inked that I received. The colors are the entire rainbow from yellow to purple and black. The yellow is very light and pale, probably ok for filling in but not very useful otherwise. There is a wide end that makes a broad stroke, and a thin end. The broad end can make calligraphy but it's not a chisel tip, which is easier for italic lettering. You have to lift up to make the thinner portion of the letter. But..for cartooning or drawing and coloring, these do a good job.This is a nice set for school kids because you have a selection of color and the two tips on each pen. You have to be careful to restore the caps tightly. (So if you give them to kids, practice capping them with the kids because they need to be pushed on firmly.) The cap doesn't give a "click" to indicate it's closed, so you have to have an intent to push it back on and if you are careless, the pen will dry out really fast. But for older school kids, a nice set, and for coloring fans, also very pleasant. If you do Zentangles, a good adjunct to your micro tip pens.

These brush pens are amazing. Brought these for my daughter and she loves them. Colours are pigmented and great for calligraphy/brush lettering. Would recommend for beginners; the brush tip is not too stiff and isn’t cheaply made or flimsy.:)
