It's definitely one of the best pomades I've ever used
It's definitely one of the best pomades I've ever used. I heard a lot of good stuff about Admiral's pomades before the purchase, but I hadn't had a chance to try one out, so I was very curious about that. The first thing I liked when I got mine was the smell, it's very nice, not a sharp or harsh smell of coconut, but it's more like a smooth mix of fragrances reminiscent some neutral perfume with only a little part of coconut. Secondly I liked applying it to my hair, the pomade goes through them so easily, even though I have strong black hair which is sometimes tough to work through using fingers with a pomade. Hold is very decent comparing with for example Uppercut which I'd used before and it doesn'r dry hair like the Uppercut, my hair is a way more hydrated after using Admiral than after Uppercut. Overall, this product is just beautiful, it has a bunch of advantages from very pleasant smell and great hold to nice price compared to the others similar products, so there's no doubt this pomade is worth its money. Go and get yourself one!

Great stuff.
So let me start by saying that I'm Native American/Spaniard. So my hair is very thick, and tends to curl when it grows out. On top of that, I have a cowlick in the middle of my hair that swirls in a clockwise pattern. So as you can imagine finding the right product for my hair is quite the task. The first thing you noticed about this product is it smells of coconut, and it's quite nice. It doesn't last all day, but it doesn't fade immediately.Next is this the texture, it's super easy to scoop out and run through my hair (my hair is typically slightly damp.)As for the hold, it's actually pretty well. I've seen a few reviews claiming it's only a light/medium hold. But with two finger tips worth I got a hold that lasts all day. I work as a server/assistant manager at a restaurant and it was able to withstand everything and stay in place. Sweat, heat, and everything in between. My only complaint about this product is that it is a rather small container, other than that. I'm in love with this pimade.**Edit** I forgot to mention I live in Dallas, so even with the heat and humidity this pomade held it's ground.

Great pomade: good scent, fights frizz, holds good, kinda small though
You've probably read an article that said this stuff is the bomb. Well it is, let me fill you in ladies and gents:Location: FLORIDA (It's real humid down here) and it holds well. I've also been in light rain and it holds the same. It holds for a while too (people keep saying it doesn't, but thats not what i've found)Scent: I would call it a formal scent. Smells like the beach but like. a sexy beach. 10/10 girls like it.Hold: if a 10 would be walmart sports gel (that blue crap) and 0 would be nothing, i'd give it a 6.5. Which is right where I want it. I don't want crusty hair, I want hair that girls can run their fingers through and not have to wash their hands. This stuff holds my hair and doesn't frizz up when it's hot. It seems to hold hair where I want it, and it doesn't keep a sheen like gel look (like i know some do) I personally like that. The first time I used it it was a little crusty, but 1) I finger combed it and it went away 2) I'm pretty sure it was because it was the top layer of the jar; It hasn't happened since. I don't have to keep applying more through the day. You can always readjust with a tad bit of water if it messes up, nbd.If i let my hair fall, it reaches my brows. This stuff will push it up and to the side, and it doesn't droop at the end of my bangs. Which is good cause I look I've got supermans curl but on the side of my head - it's not good.TO COMPARE TO OTHERS:Layrite yellow label:Admiral holds better than this stuff, you don't need to use as much, and it smells better. Puck/jar/can/whatever you want to call it is smaller though. It seems to fight frizz better as well.Cibu Sticky Rice:It holds better and smells better than this stuff. Fights frizz way better as well. You get definitely get less of the admiral though.Anyway, while the container is small, it looks hella dapper. Such a cool design and stuff, reminds me of what a sailor would use. if he needed to put pomade in his hair. It's also a really dark blue which is weird so expect that. I will definitely buy again though!Let's put it this way: I'd trust it on a date.

Good Hold, Natural Feel
I've tried a couple different pomades, and this one has definitely become my favorite. If you've been a long-time gel user looking to switch over to pomade or you've never used product in your hair before and are looking into a good beginner pomade, you really can't go wrong with Layrite. That was my first pomade, and it's known for its great versatility as well as its ability to wash off easily with water. After that, I tried Uppercut, and I would say it's fair to consider it an upgrade although it's a little more of a challenge to master how to use it. I found it definitely benefits from using a blow dryer, and it doesn't get as flaky and stiff as Layrite.Recently though, I have started using Admiral, and I now consider it the best of this trio of pomades. It's a little softer and easier to mix into dry hair than the others, but the hold does suffer slightly from this. If you use enough though, it's not an issue. Also, this definitely does the best job of not turning hard and flaky. When used right, your hair will remain soft with just a slight greasy feel, exactly what I was looking for!If you're used to strong-hold gels, this might not provide the hold you're looking for, but for anyone shopping for a pomade or any hair product that will keep their hair in place while also keeping their hair feeling reasonably natural, then this is definitely the pomade you need to try!
