Good book but really short and most information is found ...
Good book but really short and most information is found in more detail in other places. If you come across one, flip through it to grasp the best parts, one pass will be enough.

Do not underestimate this gem
Yes, this book is short. But this book has more practical information on the sweet science of Boxing than books ten times its length. Brevity and clarity are the mark of eloquence, and mastery. If I could choose only one book to learn boxing from, it would be this one, for its crystal clarity.Using this book alone, you can teach yourself how to box, and build a very strong foundation for being a great fighter. This book was definitely worth the money.P.S. If you want to learn how to street fight... study the short section on fouls, and combine it with the boxing skills that you learned in this book. ;)

Very basic pamphlet
Joe Louis was a great champion, but it wasn't simply due to the very basic topics covered in this pamphlet. The pictures, topics, and discussions read like an early to mid 20th century book - very simple. If you want to learn how to box, or learn more about Joe Louis, there are much better sources.

Good start
a booklet written by the legendary heavyweight champion himself, Joe Louis. It really is short. You can probably finish reading the book in less than two hours. There isn't much here. Just the very basic of boxing. If you are new into this sport then pick this one up then practice each lesson daily for 30 minutes or so. This should give you all you need to know about how to become a good boxer.

Livre sympathique
