Excellent product, but way too short
I love the product. The quality is excellent. I used an Optoma 4K projector at 120 Hz on a 120 inches screen, and it looks very clear just like the picture I added. In terms of sound I used a Klipsch 5.1 home theater of 5.25 inches speakers with a 10 inch sub, and it sounds truly great. However I wish the setlist was longer. At the end you are left wanting more.A better setlist in my opinion would have been like this:1. The Ecstasy of Gold2. The Call of Ktulu3. For Whom the Bell Tolls- Harvester Of Sorrow4. The Day that Never Comes- The Thing That Should Not Be5. The Memory Remains- Fuel- Until It Sleeps6. Confusion- Blackened- ...And Justice For All7. Moth Into Flame- The Four Horsemen- Metal Militia8. The Outlaw Torn- King Of Nothing- I Disappear- Frantic9. No Leaf Clover- Hit The Lights- Motorbreath10. Halo on Fire- Fight Fire With Fire- Turn The Page11. Intro to Scythian Suite12. Scythian Suite, Opus 20 II: The Enemy God And The Dance Of The Dark Spirits13. Intro to The Iron Foundry14. The Iron Foundry, Opus 19- Orion- The Unforgiven- The Unforgiven II15. The Unforgiven III16. All Within My Hands- Creeping Death17. (Anesthesia) - Pulling Teeth- Whiplash- Seek & Destroy18. Wherever I May Roam- Welcome Home- Fade To Black19. One- Sad But True20. Master of Puppets21. Nothing Else Matters22. Enter Sandman- BatteryI still give it five stars for the experience, but no Creeping Death, no Seek & Destroy, no Sad But True, no Harvester Of Sorrow is a let down for sure.I highly recommend it though. I hope someday they would remaster the first one on a 16:9 ratio because both shows are spectacular.

Older wiser Metallica still rockin!
The picture quality on the Blu Ray is awesome! The sound is perfect! It is quite a workout for the ears listening to Metallica with a full orchestra in the background! Lars drumming really impressed me! Sure he's not the world's greatest greatest drummer but he keeps Metallica together and just sounds tight and impressive! Good job Mr Ulrich! The rest of the band is impressive also and last not least don't forget the wonderful San Francisco Orchestra! It's also interesting to note this was the last show Metallica did before Hetfield went off to "get better." You can see the struggle and anger in his face! Being on the road for years at a time can be tough for anyone I'm sure but back to the music the songs that stand out for me are Halo on Fire which is one of my favorites off Hardwired. The Cliff Burton tribute Anesthesia is incredible. It really is a great tribute to Cliff's music and memory and just very well done from the orchestra! The drum part before One is incredible also and of course No Leaf Clover has always been one of my favorite 2000's era Metallica songs, the mix of orchestra and heavy guitars is crushing! Outlaw Torn, Day That Never Comes sound real good in this orchestra setting and to round it off great renditions of Nothing Else Matters complete with the full ending with Just James and his guitar and finally Enter Sandman ends the night in perfect Metallica fashion! It's also very cool to see after the credits footage of the international Metallica fans with all their flags singing Metallica! Simply brilliant and beautiful! Metallica for Life! Keep rockin! Get this Blu Ray DVD and you will not be disappointed! One more thing the bonus features is kinda short around 20 minutes with some interviews about the show and a All Within My Hands Foundation promo. That's it Horns up!

Great Sound, an exciting project from 'Tallica
I was a big fan of the first S&M release, twenty years ago. Only after listening to the second edition of this special project did I realize how "raw" and unproduced the first one was. It seems very apparent that both the Symphony and Metallica did a lot more rehearsals and planning for this second go-round. Great versions of some 'Tallica classics, like "Memory Remains", "For Whom the Bell Tolls", and "Wherever I May Roam". But also some deep cuts like ""One", "MOP", "The Outlaw Torn" and "Moth Into Flame".A collaboration like this obviously brought back the enthusiasm for playing songs that they have played thousands of times over the years. James voice sounds pitch perfect, and the way the symphony was blended seamlessly into the song arrangements just "works".I highly recommend this CD, for both casual fans and the hardcore 'Tallica headbangers alike. Only people who actually hate the band wouldn't like this. Might we see an S&M III at some point? Sure hope so ….
