Pete the Cat Falling for Autumn: A Fall Book for Kids

I use this in art class at school for kids to draw a fall still life. We have to discuss how he is not stealing but has permission to collect though and returns. Kids enjoy book.

My 4 year old son seemed to really like this book. The story is cute and follows with what to expect for Thanksgiving. It also came with stickers and a poster. He had me put the poster up on the wall as seen in pic.

I wanted a fall themed book for my one year old but I found it a little difficult to find a book that was wholesome and excluded anything spooky or Halloween related. This was perfect, pumpkin pies, corn mazes, apple picking, hayrides, football- all super sweet and things he could relate to from family activities.

My daughter loved this book.

This is a great book to introduce fall to kids. I bought this for my pre-k students and they all enjoy being read to. Great pictures.

All the Pete the cat books are great for phonics and those learning to read!

In this book, Pete the Cat learns that while he's sad that summer is ending, there is a lot to love about fall - pumpkin pie, apple picking, football with friends! The age recommendation is 4-8, but my 2-year-old loves all the colors and learning new fall words like "pumpkin," "maze," and "leaves," so I think it's a great book for introducing toddlers to fall and for reminding school age kids of all the exciting things that fall brings.One thing I found odd was that in this story the first day of fall and Thanksgiving seem to be the same day, which is not the case in the US. It works nicely for the story, but could definitely be confusing for kids. I plan to tell my own kids that Thanksgiving is celebrated on different days in different countries and explain that it has to do with the timing of the harvest. Maybe we'll look up the different dates and find the one that's closest to Pete's Thanksgiving when they're a little older.

The story is great. The extra pages in the middle were tough to get out smoothly and I ended up having to tape the book back together.
