Book comes to life
This book is the second installment of the graphic novelization of the Wheel of Time series. It includes 6 chapters (previously individual comics) that take us to approximately the halfway point of the first book. My guess is that there will be four graphic novels needed to complete the first book in the series. If you are a fan of the series, these graphic versions are excellent renderings of the novel. It can be sometimes difficult in a fantasy novel to get an understanding of what the author is describing. This is the greatest strength of this version of the book. You get a feel for the weapons, the people, and the surroundings so much more clearly.I found the writing by Chuck Dixon is getting stronger with each release. He seems to have captured the characters now and can consistently deliver them on the page. The pace is good and the trivial details are left to the visuals. I find this a refreshing way to read this book as it almost completely removes the original novel's penchant for extraneous details. The one thing that has been a bit distracting has been the switch between artists. A New Spring was drawn by three different artists, Volume One of The Eye of the World was drawn by Chase Conley, and Volume Two by Andie Tong. Having read all three of these within the last month really brought to my attention the differences between these artists. In this Volume, I found the artwork to be more like a standard comic book than the previous two. There were also times I had difficulty determining who was who as they somewhat looked the same. I would then be left to looking for clues such as the color of clothes or hairstyle. None of this to say that the art is bad. I still felt it was true to the story being told.Overall - another good volume in the series. I am looking forward to the next installment.

Great book bad delivery
I have to say I have been loving this comic. I am a little frustrated though since this time I ordered it new and it came with several creased in many pages and in the dust cover, like someone had crumpled it up and then put a lot of care into trying to flatten it out again. Frustrating, but the comic itself is awesome.EDIT: I am bumping this up a star, as the comic itself is great, and my favorite of the artists so far.

A decent adaptation
I have read the entire Wheel of Time series and adore it, so being a comic book reader, I naturally wanted to pick up the graphic novel. My criticisms are that the writing on occasion seems a little stiff and it's not my favorite art. Don't get me wrong, the covers are incredible! But a good number of the inside pages seem a little rushed. Still, it's the first visual representation of this epic series and I will no doubt read them all!

Must buy for any Wheel of Time fan
I stayed away from buying the graphic novels for a very long time, afraid they would ruin my expectations of what The Wheel of Time world should look be like. This did not disappoint. I am definitely buying the rest of the series.

Very Nice - Volume Two
Follows the book pretty closely, with nice artwork. Starts with fleeing the Draghkar just after leaving Emonds Field, and ends just before the trolloc attack on the way to Shadar Logoth.(It is volume two, not sure why Amazon is showing the wrong cover.)

The eye of the World
I have bought and read every single one of Robert Jordan's books and when the graphic novels came out I pre-ordered them. The graphics are really cool - the story is short. A lot is overlooked. I understand that it would be hard to remain really close and true to the initial story but I did miss the depth and suspense I encountered in the books. I would like to give it three and a half stars - mainly for the art work --. The 3.5 rating not being possible .... i am giving it a huge 3 ....

Magnificent graphic novel
I read the book a number of times already. Am still enjoying it very much. I like the book size, easy to hold, beautiful print. Inside the well illustrated colorful costumes, wonderful expressions, it say so much. Can't wait for the 3rd volume. Thank you, thank you, thanks again for great creative imaginations and the close adaptation of the story.

Wonderful
This is the first novel in the greatest fantasy series ever written. Although the style of the graphics is very "dull", the accuracy and completeness of this representation of the novel is excellent. Perhaps it will be a great story board for the movie..
