Worked as expected and actually was Cisco compatible!
Needed this cable ASAP to reconfigure our Cisco ASA 5506. I was leery after reading reviews for other products dropping connections, etc. but reviews on this particular cable were great and indicated Cisco compatibility so I ordered. I did download & install the v. 3.1 console cable driver from Cisco in advance. Cable arrived quickly, and I plugged it in, opened PuttY and went to work. It worked beautifully & never failed.

USB-A to USB-Mini not console cable
Maybe it works with Cisco, but it's not compatible with Brocade. This seems like a standard USB conversion cable and not a serial console cable for connecting to network switches. My computer doesn't recognize it when plugged in when it should be discovered as a serial port. Again, connecting to Cisco equipment is probably fine based on other reviews. Cable seems good quality otherwise.

Me he quedado muy cabreado al probar el producto ya quedé ha roto la cabeza quitándose del cable y he tenido que tirar el producto. Quiero un reembolso para comprar otro producto

This usb console cable works perfectly on the newer tplink switches. Yes you can configure the switch via the web interface but I like adjust the switch while in the rack to check firmware or settings. Great addition to the budding IT worker.
