As a yoga teacher and yoga student of nearly 20 years, I’ve stopped searching for yoga mats because my hands tend to slip on most of them (though I’ll admit, hand creams don’t help!). My go-to mats have always been slim travel ones that are easy to carry and offer great grip, I use them on top of other mats. After over 10 years of using those, I’m pleasantly surprised by this mat.Initially, it felt slippery, but after testing it in an online class yesterday and my personal practice today, I’m happy to say I had no issues! I sprayed a bit of water before class and avoided hand cream, and it worked perfectly.While I think it’s better suited for hot yoga than vinyasa or hatha ( I think the soft surface absorbs sweat well), I’m keeping it because it’s the most beautiful mat I’ve ever owned. It's heavier than what I’m used to, so I’ll mainly use it for home practice or when teaching online. I love it!It could be a bit wider, but let's focus on the positives. 😄

What beautiful mat! Extremely good quality, I've not ever seen such good quality available in the shops. Lovely colour with soft top it is not slippy for me as I have tacky hands and feet anyway. But if it is just spray it with a little water.The mat is a good weight for carrying with its strap but also when rolled out means it's in moving around like my previous mats.I only practice normal yoga (yoga with Adriene)The delivery was super fast much faster than Amazon said.The company Yoga Lab were amazing and also sent me an email with a few extra tips about the mat ( amazing customer service 😉)I would recommend the mat if your looking for a top quality yoga mat that oozes style!I absolutely love mine!10 🌟 from me if I could

This mat is phenomenal. I've given it a full year before leaving a review, and it has absolutely nailed it. I do hot yoga three times a week, and before getting this mat I hated it - I get really, really, REALLY sweaty, and I'd always just slip and slide all over the place. Even a yoga towel didn't cut it - I'd drench it, and it would slip too.This has completely solved all those problems. It's super comfy and pretty and fluffy - a bit like fake suede - but as soon as you sweat, you stick to it. Like, properly stick. Even at the end of a class when it's soaking (sorry) it still does the job. It's also light, easy to roll, doesn't take up much room and is easy to carry around. Also, while I do wash it I've found that even when I skip a couple of classes, it doesn't smell. A year of sweat and its still going strong. Easily the best investment I've ever made in yoga accessories.

This matter is lovely! I had been worried the surface wouldn't be grippy enough for the more energetic hot yoga classes, at least not in the early stages when I hadn't yet worked up a sweat, but having read other reviews I sprayed the mat lightly (water, witch hazel & a few drops of essential oils) before starting. This gives the mat grip from the start - as well as making it smell delightful. It sticks to the studio floor like it's glued down, so no slippage there either, and there's no longer any need for a separate towel (which only wrinkled up anyway). It's also nicely squishy underfoot but above all it's a total joy to look at! I wouldn't have thought just unrolling a mat could bring such enjoyment before any yoga had even commenced but it's really a simple little pleasure all on its own. If you're not sure about whether to go ahead and get one (I know, it's not cheap and you could get four crumby normal mats for this) but really I don't think you'll regret taking the plunge!

I have had this mat for over a week now I have admit it has grown on me.It's a little short for me (I am 6ft) however it is the perfect mat for home or a class as it has so much grip (once wet) and I am a bit of Sweaty Betty. Plus the fact it's got some cushion to it is a great mix for anyone. I have no fear of slips while in a more difficult pose, which compared to my previous mat it's brilliant, that and it looks pretty cool too.Well worth it if you're looking for a mid range price mat that's ideal for the more sweaty people, or you could just throw some water on it if you want.

This mat is so luxurious! I'd ordered it without actually realising it was designed for Bikram yoga and it was only when I read the instructions for spraying the mat with water before use that I noticed! The mat has a suede-like feel to it, which in a normal class (not Bikram) can be a little slippy as there's not as much resistance as a standard mat. I'm yet to see if spraying water helps with this. There is also the option to flip the mat over to the side with grip although that side is plain black. The carry strap is handy as the mat is quite heavy but doesn't feel cumbersome when it's over your shoulder. The photo of the mat is absolutely true - it's gorgeous. The colours are really vivid and it feels amazing to lie on. The nature of the material does cause a little bit of static which makes it prone to picking up little specks of dirt from the floor but these can easily be brushed off at the start/finish of each practice. The mat is also machine washable. Since I purchased the mat, a couple of people have noticed it during classes and asked where it came from. I've been very happy to point them in the right direction.

I struggled to find a nice thick mat that I didn’t slip on for my vinyasa practice. I’m moderately sweaty and practice 3-4 times a week. This mat fits the bill! The design is fresh and fun and the micro suede top keeps me from sliding around with a few sprays of water before class. It’s held up well in the year I’ve been using it and is still in fantastic shape.The only downside that I’ve found is that drying it after washing was tricky- I washed in the washing machine as suggested and then laid out to dry, it took several days in the summer for it to be completely dry. Maybe I needed to run it in the spin cycle another time, but it for sure took longer than I thought it would.

Un an après son achat je suis toujours mega fan de mon tapis, j’ai un petit kiff a chaque fois que je le déroule pour un séance!!

Se que el título de mi opinión suena exagerado pero es que ir a yoga con hiperhidrosis de manos y pies puede ser bastante complicado. Estaba cansada de ser "la chica de los guantes" (al menos así imagino que me identificaban jaja) y todos los profes me decían que me podía quitar los calcetines y yo diciendo que no, que me sudan mucho los pies y que los necesito puestos. Bueno, esta esterilla ha cambiado todo eso! Ayer tuve una sesión magnífica y hacer algo tan simple como un perro boca abajo (que me hacía doler los dedos con los guantes puestos) fue realmente un placer!! Estoy feliz con mi compra!!

Esattamente il prodotto che cercavo, perfetta aderenza al pavimento, non si deforma e veramente ottime proprietà antiscivolo per chi, come me, suda molto nelle mani e nei piedi. Negli altri casi è sufficiente inumidire.Assolutamente consigliato, ha risolto tutti i miei problemi di aderenza, ora la fatica è solo per le posizioni!
