This thing leaks like mad!!
This thing leaked gas like mad. After making sure all fittings were tight it still leaked. On top of this I ended up replacing my fuel line after installing this device multiple times trying to get it to stop leaking. It leaks from the threaded portion which is not something I could fix. So not only did this thing fail to work, it cost me money because I had to replace my fuel line which was fine before I tried installing it. I live in MN and had to work outside which made this whole issue even worse, and my truck is still not fixed now. POS product, and I will not buy from this manufacture again. Total waste of my time and money!!!

Decided to give this a try instead of replacing a good fuel pump with a bad check valve
My 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am wasn't holding fuel pressure after being shut off for about 10 mins. Decided to give this a try instead of replacing a good fuel pump with a bad check valve. My fuel lines are nylon, so i needed to use the 2 white spacers for nylon lines. The only probelm was my kit was missing one of the spacers, so I had to get some from Lowes. Another thing I didn't like was the lack of good instructions. The only instructions I saw were on the back of the container, and they didn't tell me much. Not much help either on SUR&R web site. I guess for someone who has did this type of thing before the instructions were probably ok. This was my first time doing this kind of thing. The snap rings inside the check valve kept wanting to dislodge every time the tubing touched them. Finally got it right, and now it starts up first try after sitting awhile.

Saves you from buying a $400 plus pump/module
Have an h2 hummer and would have to cycle the key 6-10 times to start before installing this. Now starts on first try and maintains the fuel pressure after shut down. I own a repair shop and have installed many of these. This item will save you from buying a $400 plus fuel pump. Install it as far back in the pressure line as possible. On plastic lines you have to modify it by beveling out the brass nut and the plastic lines because it is really tight but that's all not hard to do great product. Thanks for reading

Returned could not use
Item was returned, had to replace the fuel pump in the tank.

Fix for fuel pump
For my 2003 S10, I was having a issue where i would have to turn the start switch on a couple of time to get pressure in the fuel lines before it would start. After reading some posts about this issue, I saw someone that fixed this issue with this part. The fuel pump has a check valve in it, that was failed, this fixed that. as some other post had said you must make sure you car has a presure regulator somewhere past where you install this or you could blow the seals out of you injectors. The easiest place to put this was after the fuel filter. One thing that would help is if the kit included the type quick connector that goes into the fuel filter. other wise you need to figure out how to make the connection.

saved me a lot of money and aggravation
check valve on top of pump was not working well, causing long cranking time after sitting overnight. I had new pump installed just about two months ago so did not want to mess with that again. After installing this valve engine fires as quickly as it ever did.

Outstanding!
Boy, l tell ya, it amazes me how this little thing isn't more popular on the f-body forums! Fuel pump check valves on performance GM automobiles are notorious for failing & causing hard starts due to fuel drain-back to the tank via the pressure line. I can't imagine the countless GOOD fuel pumps that have been deemed BAD just because the check valve in the fuel pump module went south. Well, this handy lil' check valve from s.u.r. & r. saved me from having to drop the tank on my 1997 Z28 Camaro. Just jacked the back of the car up, placed it on jackstands, cut the nylon fuel feed line as close to the tank as possible and spliced the check valve in using the supplied plastic ferrules for the nylon line and viola! No more hard starts! I verified the valve function cause before the installation, I checked the fuel pressure in the fuel rails with my gauge & after a two second prime that the ECM performs when the ignition switch is closed, the pressure would drop to zero instantly. After the installation, I performed the same gauge test & the pressure in the rail held 40 lbs indefinitely. Now, no more hard starts. The engine fires the first twist of the key EVERY TIME. Fine product. Would recommend to anyone that's experiencing hard starts & has verified that its caused by lack of prime pressure due to a faulty factory check valve. Kudos.

Dual line use only
Do not use on single line fuel systems, it will not work. If you have a return line this works fine on supply to hold a prime.
