Bside VC60B+ Insulation Resistance Tester Digital Megohmmeter Electrician Megohm Meter DC 250/500/1000V, AC 750V Voltage Measurement

Man, I used my insulation tester to find a short in a set of speaker wires. So my buddy comes to me and asks me if I can look at the system in his car, his back speakers aren't working. So, me being the tech that I am, I played with the settings on the radio to make sure he didn't have the settings screwed up, and he didn't. So I pulled his deck, disconnected his speakers from the amp, and got my insulation tester, time to look for a ground/short, I'll be damned if the 2 speaker wires were not only shorted to ground, but they were shorted to each other also, I found this with the 250 volt insulation test to ground(-) and to each conductor, we started looking around and in his trunk, his old lady had thrown some heavy books on his speaker wires and cut them to ground and each other, problem located, so I repaired to 2 wires and turned the radio on, and still nothing, fuse in the amp, forgot about that, got a new fuse, put it in, and Bam! They started working! My buddy was happy, i said cool and got the heck outta there, didn't wanna be around for the butt-chewing he was gonna give his old lady, Whoa!!
