I really like this product a lot and it is certainly every bit as good as what I used to pay much more for in the past.I use it primarily for the bird and the dog. I don't think the bird cares either way, but the dog really likes it a lot. Sometimes I melt a little bit and pour it over his dry dog food, along with a spoonful of pumpkin puree. Then I hit it with a couple splashes of hot water and mix it all up nicely. He loves the coconut and pumpkin, both of which are very good for him. Now, when I say 'coconut' he gets all excited.Additionally, I like this shorter jar because where I live it's always cool in my house, especially the kitchen so the coconut oil is always completely solid. It's very difficult for me to get it out of a taller jar once I've used half or more of it.One more thing - this company seems to be a very integrous company. The first time I ordered it must have gotten broken in transit and UPS returned it to them. They, IMMEDIATELY, send out a replacement to me. It always arrives fresh. I like that it's in a glass jar and I really like that they put a tag on it that says when it was produced and what the 'best if used by' date should be.

I have a picky cat. She won’t eat food I’ve put supplements in. She doesn’t like to be touched on her paws. But when I put this on her itchy patches she seems to get relief. While I applied it to her back I noticed it smells great and doesn’t feel overly thick. She started to lick the jar too! Very happy

Coconut oil arrived promptly, 5 stars for coconut oil quality.Some comments upon packaging design: product arrived leaking, took some time to clean up and tried salvaging the good stuff that's already leaked out of the jar. The jar cap doesn't seem to close securely. As long as I store the coconut oil jar upright, I won't have spillage. I ordered one jar and a refill (pouch). As long as this jar is good, I will keep ordering refill pouches.

After hearing rave reviews about this product from other dog loving friends who swear by this stuff, I decided to try it on my three Chihuahuas. I ordered it on a late Thursday afternoon and it shipped the same day! I received it on Monday in a box fill of bubble wrap, very well packaged and thankfully so since it is a glass jar. One small taste of this coconut oil and my Chihuahuas went wild over it! I'm not sure how much to give them so I started slow with just a little on a small spoon. They were jumping and licking their lips and trying to get more, so I obliged them. I also tasted it, and while it didn't have much taste I could feel the oiliness of it. I rubbed some into my hands. My friends are right! This is a great products with a lot of benefits and my Chihuahuas love it! We are now in the club and will be using this product from now on.
