This is the first time I’ve ever bought a pair of binoculars, so I have nothing to compare these to (I will update this review once I get my second pair) but I’ve been impressed.I thought for such a low price I’d be getting an awful pair of binoculars with loads of distortion and low image quality but I was wrong. Having worked with optical lenses for over a decade I know a little about lenses and, indeed, coatings. The anti-glare coating on these is basic but perfectly functional and the distortion on the edges of the lenses is non-existent. The build quality feels really good and the fact that it included lens covers for all the lenses and a strap for both the binoculars and the carry case that’s included makes the price feel even more unbelievable! These are very light weight. I can’t compare this to the weight of other binoculars but I was happy holding them for 30 minutes without any arm ache.I bought these for a little astronomy and find the father light quite well for their size. I have decided I need a higher magnification and bigger objective lens to do any more but these are great for the function they have been bought for. Overall I’m very happy.

For a fairly long ranged handheld binoculars these are very steady in the average hand size.The weight is exactly right, not too heavy to hold for a long time and not too light where every movement is felt (this is a good result if you ever hand held a 12x50 binoculars, no need for a tripod with these).Not sure if this is seeing up in the picture but the body is totally coated in rubberised material, giving it good protections from knocks and falls.A nice touch is the strap which is padded with some neoprene type material.The optics are miles away over my 1970's Leica and Zeiss, I am not sure if this is down to how lenses are coated now days but all I can say is that the picture is clear, no haze is visible and focusing on closer objects is crisp (so you can use this for bird watching even at a distance of 10-20 metres.The price is low but I am not sure why, even for a no name product.You can use this optic for almost anything (maybe not for eye testing in Barnard Castle) so tick almost every box for me.

I've used and owned a number of binoculars over the last forty years, all in the budget range in truth. These are reasonably compact, given that they are 12 x 50. Obviously not the smallest of devices but far from the bulkiest too. I'm perfectly happy with the thought of carrying these for miles at a time.Optically these binoculars completely outperform their price point. Chromatic aberration is barely visible even in the most challenging light. Distortion can't be seen at all. I've compared these against my wife's helios 10 x 40 pair and the differences are virtually impossible to see. The extra magnification of the 12 x 50 is very slight, in all fairness.For the money, buying them is a no brainer.

I ordered 12 ×50 binoculars and received these 12 × 42 binoculars, no size or paperwork on the box .When I checked my order online realised advert shows 12× 50 mm at beginning of advert , but shows specs for 12 × 42mm.I only wanted a cheap basic pair for general use with astronomy to replace a broken 10× 50 celestron pr.That all said I am quite surprised with the quality and feel of the item , the focus wheel and flip down lens caps are good to use also the eye releaf is good.For the money they are good value and I shall not return them and will give them a good try out when the skys clear.

Magnification rate is impressive and without much flare.Tripod hole quite short. I need a washer to fix it right and stable.It would have been nice to come with phone mount.Overall very happy with this at first impression.I'll try to update this review with pictures of actual magnification and impressions after a few days of use.

This is what you can see, I used my phone to look through the binoculars and take this photo. It was really amazing and magical being able to take a photo on my phone of the moon like this rather than a white circle in the sky that just looks like a street light. I really am happy with this purchase.

Overall a good product, very compact but big enough to be held comfortably in the hand.There was an additional zoom function which is activated by pulling the lens backwards and twisting.Once set up and adjusted they are a solid set of specs.

Serve their purpose. I wish they had a tripod mount (screw hole).
