Great Grind
I enjoy a good cup of coffee, but I’m not a coffee connoisseur, just want to be clear about that. I had ordered some coffee and didn’t realize it was whole beans. When it arrived I decided I would buy a grinder if I could find one at a reasonable price. I found this Bodum grinder at a fantastic price. It grinds quickly and consistently and I am very pleased with the cup of coffee it helps to produce. One note, I did buy a coffee grinder cleaning brush and haven’t had to wipe or wash the grinder.

Amazing Coffee Grinder
Talk about upgrading your coffee bean game! This grinder works like a charm, pulverizes those beans to smithereens, and seems like a very powerful, durable product so far. The coffee beans take on a homogenous powder like form which is crucial to our French press brew. I wouldn't expect any less from Bodum but this was just such a pleasant surprise. I absolutely love the texture of the surface (see photo) and the red button is so stylish. If you need a coffee upgrade, this is the item for you.

Looks good works good
Well, made nice little unit perfect for making fresh coffee. Works just as well to grind any other dry substances, but once you use coffee in it, there’s a chance of the coffee bean flavor transferring. Knowing this I bought two and I’m happy with both of them.

Flip it upside down to open?
Not too loud, looks great. Holds the perfect amount, and grinds nicely from coarse to fine depending on grind time. Worth the price for how nice it looks. Fresh ground is just so much better also. My only gripe is coffee grinds work themselves in between the clear lid and the black grinder bowl and then fall out when you open it

Works Great - No Mess!
I’ve been using this Bodum C-Mill coffee grinder for almost 2 weeks now, and it works great! The grinder is very deep, which is a fantastic design feature - when I open the lid, the coffee powder doesn’t spill out everywhere like with other grinders I’ve used. The stainless steel blade grinds consistently and efficiently. It’s easy to operate and gets the job done quickly. The build quality feels solid, and cleanup is straightforward. If you’re looking for a reliable electric grinder that actually keeps your coffee grounds contained, this is an excellent choice. Highly recommend!

My go-to coffee grinder
This is by far my favorite coffee grinder. My last one broke and I decided to try a different brand with a removable grinder cup... but it never got the beans ground fine enough for my liking, so I've purchased this new one. While the cup doesn't come out, it is easy to wipe with a damp cloth. Ours is dedicated to coffee so we have no issues with cross flavors. The cord stores in the bottom. If/When this one breaks, I'll buy another one. The last one I had for nearly two years and it was used at least daily. I suspect the cord was yanked from the wall instead of gently removed and that's why it started having issues.

I'm Leaking Everywhere
Strong grinder motor with 150W of power. Activation / power switch is mildly finicky; it needs to line up perfectly when pressing. Clear housing on top is too loose. It has a slight gap around the circumference, which allows grinder contents to leak out periodically. And, my biggest criticism is of the shaft seal / bowl seal. The clear, silicone-looking seal that is supposed to keep grinder contents from leaking out the base of the bowl has poor fitment. I first noticed the issue when grinder contents were leaking from the base of the grinder, where the power cord is located. Yes, let that observation sink in for a moment. As you grind, the fine particles leak past the blade shaft and the base of the bowl, enter the motor chamber, coat the motor and electrical components with dust (ground coffee, spices, or whatever you've processed in it), and accumulate at the base prior to leaking out of the power cord opening. It's either a fantastic failure of design or a brilliant example of poor quality control. Maybe both! Bottom line, despite the impressively powerful motor, I cannot recommend this grinder.

Works well, is reasonably priced
The grinder works well, is reasonably priced, easy to use, and has acceptable noise levels. It’s easy to clean, but I prefer more stainless steel and less plastic. It’s small, so it doesn’t take up much counter space. 12/19/2025 Update: The grinder effectively grinds coffee beans, which is why I bought it. However, it’s awkward to use. Research is crucial, and I regret not doing it before purchasing. If you’re unsure about a coffee grinder, take your time. Bodum is a great brand with a long history. I’ve had other Bodum products and was satisfied. For me, it’s not the brand but the style of grinder I need for daily use. This one would be great for a road trip, college dorm room, or occasional use. I’ll stick with it until I find the best style, budget friendly, or sale.
