Great stick - but don't buy it unless it's on sale or you love Chun-Li!
I bought this on sale for $199.99 and for me it was a good purchase. I'd gotten rid of my last-gen sticks already and wanted the TE-2 form factor. The dual PS4/3 compatibility sealed the deal, and the stick also works on PC in PS3 mode without additional drivers. Mine came with no damage and I found the fit and finish to be top-notch. The Sanwa parts are butter as usual. I really appreciated the holographic finish of the Chun-Li artwork, and I'm not really a Chun fan in the first place, and found the TE-2 to be exactly what I was looking for. It's heavier than the TE and HRAP, with more real estate for my wrists, and even though I don't plan on modding it, the easy-open top is still a cool feature with a satisfying snap when you close it that doesn't affect the weight, which was my main concern. This also makes it easy to swap artwork out and it also comes with strap loops. I wanted something with more weight and real estate than other sticks I've had, without them being hulking monsters like the Hori VLX or Mad Catz VS, which were too large for my liking. I feel good about this purchase. But unless you get it on sale or love Chun-Li, I don't suggest you buy it.First of all, the TE-2+ is the same stick at the same price, but has the added functionality of an onboard touchpad and L3/R3 buttons. That mostly means gaining the ability to reset your position in training mode with a single tap, but it's still added functionality at the same price and we don't know the full extent of what SFV will use for the touchpad yet, like the button check menu in the PS4 port of USFIV.Secondly, PS3 stick support was just announced, so besides the obvious cost savings if you held onto yours, this stick, without the touchpad, offers the exact same functionality as the PS3 stick you probably already own. You can also find a used PS3 stick for cheaper than this, with more form factor options, so unless you really want to play on a TE-2, I'd suggest you get on eBay. I'd especially recommend the Horis of last-gen when they still used Sanwa and sometimes even Seimitsu parts if you are sensitive to price because now that they use their own parts on current gen models, you should know that most people love the Hayabusa sticks but hate the Kuro buttons. I've also found the Horis to be longer than they are wide, and even though I know that more accurately replicates the Taito Vewlix cabinet, I prefer the wider TEs. If you can find one of those wider models they released for Soul Calibur V and a few other games, which smartly moved Start to a recessed pocket instead of right there on the side, which is my biggest complaint with Horis, go for it.Lastly, no matter what you go with, I absolutely encourage you to go with a real, full-sized stick like this and treat yourself if you are a fan of fighting games, regardless of your skill level. I'm so tired of people denigrating some of the most commonly-accepted principles of fighting games. Tiers are real and dammit, for most people, sticks are vital to improving control and performance as long as you actually put the work in. Don't waste your money on the FightStick Alpha or the FightPad Pro unless you know you are better on pad. If you are serious about fighting games, or if you're no good but appreciate their design, get yourself a grown-up stick.Just, you know, probably not this one.

Solid and Easy to Customize Stick
Curious about this stick? Don't let the Mad Catz name fool you. Despite some questionable quality control with a handful of their gamepads, their reputation with fightsticks is solid. FYI: I purchased this stick refurbished, so I knew what I was getting myself into. I was also going to mod almost all the internals anyway.I do have some artifacts from production. On the bottom, it looks like one of the hex screws was over-tightened and it made a small white discoloration on the plastic. Honestly, this would only be a big deal if I owned this as a collector's item. You're not going to see it unless you flip it over. There were some white plastic specks on the art that I couldn't scratch out. Luckily, it was under the removable plexiglass and you can brush them off without issue. The two square buttons on the right of the top section in the middle feel sticky. Lastly, the terminals on the Sanwa buttons were incredibly frustrating to take off because they were clamped on really tightly. It would be a big hassle to remove a dead button in the middle of a match.Out of the box, the stick and buttons feel nice and the surface remains sturdy during gameplay. It comes with standard Sanwa parts, so they are what you'd expect. They work well and are more than enough to get the job done. It's also ridiculously easy to mod this thing because you can open it right up with a push of a button. There's also three compartments to put two extra buttons, the included hex screwdriver and the detachable pro USB cable. If these pockets aren't to your liking, they are easily removable with a basic screwdriver.Overall, the stick feels good. Hardly any significant input lag. To mod this stick is very simple and almost anyone with simple tools can do it.

Great stick
Great stick. Out of the box everything was fine, no damage or scratches. The stick feels very solid when playing. The foam on the bottom prevent slipping and the area on top is comfortable when resting hands to play. Stick feels very responsive. The cabinet inside is also great. Allows room for two extra buttons and removable usb cord. Stick also has more weight to it than other te sticks I own.Others have mentioned the face plate. Moves, but mine does not. It's held solidly in place. The only thing I do t like about the stick is it doesn't have a headset input. So if you are using a ps4 plug in headset, you can't use it when playing. You will have to get a new usb headset. But this is a minor issue for me. And doesn't affect the stick in any way.All and all a great purchase and another great product from madcatz!

Really nice stick with industry standard performance but a price which would make the heavens weep. The pics don't show it but the panel image is lenticular 3D.One quick note: mine had a minor imperfection along the right side where the front panel doesn't sit 100% flush with the chassis. As a result there is a slight clicking sound when you push down on that side. It doesn't bother me much and doesn't impede performance at all. There was a YouTube clip detailing this issue so it may be a production problem. Be sure to check for it.

turns out to be great.
Bought this for SF5 on steam version, the description does not say wether it works with PC but review seems to say it does.My win7 PC automatically recognize the device, but the game (SF5) does not, Took me a while to findout the software called JoyToKey to make it work, turns out to be great.update 2017-03-09the stick is no longer functional after exactly one year of moderate use... consider the price tag i am very upset... (upper left direction no longer works). i would expect something like this to last few years at least..

A must have!
I am so happy I bought this months ago! Just changed the gate into an octogonal gate for personal reasons, and hey you can switch it back to square gate in less than 2min!! Samwa buttons are incredible!! I switched from a Hori Hori Fightstick Mini 4, it was not bad but it was so small my left hand kept falling of the edge.

Love the design and color scheme
Love the design and color scheme. Stick and buttons are as responsive as can be. Highly recommended for any fighting game enthusiast. My only complaint is the lack of a headphone jack, but that's more a Sony / PS4 issue.

It is perfect, not only the image is holographic
It is perfect, not only the image is holographic, but it has very little input delay and comes what you see
