Actually love this pet cleaner. I’ve used it to clean stains off of the carpet and couch. It works well for any kind of additional mess that can come with 2 kids and a dog haha I would spray and let it sit for 10 minutes like the bottle says cause its more effective that way. I don’t mind the smell either but it is a tad strong. I feel like any cleaner will have some type of smell though. Overall amazing product I will continue to use!

(EDIT)Yes...the product works.. and works well... but why can't they design a bottle that works??? It is cleaner for stains on carpet... so you are going to point the bottle down... well...it won't spray when it is pointed down... so have to raise the bottle back to horizontal.. prime the pump... try and spray your stain from a long distance... then spray right over the stain again.. and it two squirts.. the pump goes dry... hold horizontal and repeat.. and this is with a full bottle.... very frustrating!!!(/edit)We have a senior dog... and he does what he does... Had been using Folex.. which still is a Fantastic spot cleaner.. but a friend suggested the Bissell Pet PRo to me and I am SOLD!Works great even on old stains...And I have even started using the Pet Pro as a spot cleaner on tough laundry stains! Better than Shout!Tough messes or stains?Grab a bottle of Pet Pro and dig in... can spray and then blot with a clothe.. or I spray and then run the shampooer with hot water over the spot and it cleans up perfectly!

I like the aerosol product better. However, I could sell this product - It is "AMAZING". We have light colored carpet - this has gotten out "poop", vomit, wine, coffee, & mystery stains. I am a lover of this item and will never venture away from it. Again, my preference is the aerosol can but it isn't always available. The smell is "clean" - not like other brands. Definitely worth the cost!!!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I picked this out with some thinking it was to go with a BISSELL carpet shampooer. We have had a lot of stains in our carpets for years and I had ordered a carpet shampooer to try to get them out. I decided to try this when it arrived and WOW! Stains came right out! Formerly stained areas look like new!

Back in March, I moved into an apartment and purchased a medium-light colored rug that has a greenish and sandy pattern running through it. The whole point was to keep it somewhat light because the apartment is so small, but hide anything that my two cats and one dog might apply to it (lol).I totally underestimated the power of cat puke, and although I attended to the stains immediately, they pretty much took over so badly that I thought I would keep the now gross, demolished rug around through the winter and replace in the spring. There were just too many stains that I could not get out and it looked awful. I had already shampooed it with my Bissell pet shampoo, but it definitely needed something more. No "natural" cleaner even made a dent, and none of those so-called biological cleaners could handle it. I even tried dish soap and laundry soap in the hopes they would work. And the truth is, I didn't want to replace the rug, mostly because I couldn't afford to, but also because I just really liked it! To make matters worse, it wound up being discontinued and I would have to find a whole new rug. First world problems, right?So I took a chance on this spray thinking it was less money than a new rug, and although I have become quite skeptical of products doing what they say they'll do, this not only took care of every single stain, (including ones that had been there for months that I covered up with furniture😆), it completed this in one late afternoon application with no vigorous scrubbing.I used the stream spray on the nozzle, saturated each stain just short of being soaked (these stains were really bad and I don't think I will have to use that much in the future), and rubbed the product in, wearing gloves of course. If you don't have gloves, you can always put a piece of plastic wrap over your hand, or alternatively use a plastic grocery bag.Later that evening, I took a dish brush (just the plain old regular plastic kind) and kind of fluffed the rug fibers to make sure that any remaining spray was spread out. I'm not sure this was necessary, but I didn't want any area of the rug to be more saturated than others. It also helped separate the rug fibers, in case any needed a little more spray.The next morning, the stains were gone.There's no strong smell in this product, no burning of eyes or nose, just a gentle spray it on / rub it in, and let it work. I read the reviews where people said they watched the stains go away, and these people are telling the truth.Thanks to everyone who wrote reviews for this product; it really helped me!I wish I had taken before and after photos to share. I really encourage everyone with pets and rugs/carpet to keep this product on hand. It's not leaving my cleaning arsenal, that's for sure! Take care and be well, everyone!

This cleaner is the best I’ve ever used for not just pet stains, but other carpet stains. It is amazing and I keep bottles of it upstairs and downstairs. Cleans coffee stains and food stains and any dog stains, it’s worked on everything I’ve tried it on. It also doesn’t leave the carpet matted or clumpy like some carpet cleaner spray products. Once you’re done it looks like new again.
