These are very nice barrettes. I have been using one every day this summer to put my hair up. They are very well made. I was very pleased with this purchase. I have medium thickness hair and one barrette holds it up easily and stays put with no slippage.

I love these clips! I have thick, curly hair and they work great and hold my hair well! The clips are well made, and the variety of colors on the clips are pretty! They are worth purchasing!

These French clip hair barrettes (Tortoise Shell Celluloid Rectangle) are labeled "small" and some reviews mention that they are smaller than expected. It's true that the plastic back is shorter than some other clips--about 3 inches instead of maybe 3.5--but the clip itself seems to be very nearly the same size. These are perfect for my fine, thin hair (always been that way but now especially that I'm in my late 60s). They come in various colors and arrived speedily. The packaging was just a thin, small box but the padded envelope protected them and they arrived unbroken. I have purchased a second set.

These are beautiful. Literally any choice would be beautiful. I got them for my friend’s birthday and she seemed to love them. She’s very sneaky though and probably checked on Amazon to see the price.

These are pretty & the size I need BUT when I opened the envelope (poorly packaged) one was unfastened & will not fasten, just falls open each time I try to fasten it. The other was fastened but after opening it the first time, it won’t fasten either. I’m really displeased. Have not needed to return things in the past, don’t know the procedure. Guess it’s my loss but for the cost, Amazon should have packaged them better. My loss…. They are irregulars. The teeth in the barrette don’t separate & latch into the fastener as they should. Very poor design & construction. I have thick long hair & the only one that didn’t come broken won’t fasten properly at all.

Very well-made, lovely tortoise pattern on substantial barrette. Clip snaps securely, holds my fine hair well without pulling and does not slide down the hair. Hair is fine, but somewhat thick. The barrettes are not large, but the medium size is perfect for holding my "half up and pulled back" style securely all day. I really like the curved shape, as it fits the contours of my head much better than more flat barrettes do. Recommend.
