The produce is good. Fresh condition, I got the aroma of the spice as soon as I opened the package. Eco friendly package. The star anise was mostly intact. Very minimal broken ones. Only downside is that the packagers made a mistake by taping bubble wrap on the package due to which the paper based packet got torn.

This star anise product is good. It is clean, mostly not broken and the taste and color are the way they are supposed to be. I am so glad that I finally found a star anise product that is worth buying. I have tired several other companies before and had to return all of them because they were either moist and moldy or covered in some strange powder. I personally use star anise to make tea when I feel run down or even just for its wonderful flavor. I was getting very frustrated that I couldn't seem to find a reasonable priced product of good quality. So I am very happy with this one. I have so far ordered it 3x so far and every batch was good.To make tea of it I take 2 good sized pieces per 300 ml cup, cush it, bring it to a boil, simmer it for about 10 minutes and then strain it. Add a bit extra water before boiling as some water will evaporate in the process. Its delicious, relaxing and good for health.One thing, it's important to get star anise from a trustworthy source as there exists a very similar kind which is much cheaper but detrimental to health and it is possible that some cheacky seller might mix some in to cut cost. So do go for something good like this one. It's worth the price.
