A reflection of Andy Rooney at his best: sharp and brutal
Because I grew up with Andy Rooney, he's a fan favorite of mine. That said, as a Korean-American and marketing executive, I am not blind to his periodic lapses into the land of non-political correctness. Ironically, that's what made AR so special--he is cut of the old clothe that has an opinion and is going to share it, because, by God, it's America, and he has the freedom of speech. His quick wit, unsparing commentary is the best when it's the honest. As part of a group that was the recipient of some of his rare comments (minorities in general), I was never blind to his generation or perspective, and over the years, as the mainstream media and producers tried to muzzle him to make him what he was not (PC), the edge of the knife dulled.I own several books on AR, and this is one of my favorites. Andy Rooney: 60 Years of Wisdom and Wit

Very Enjoyable
I origianlly purchased the Kindle edition to pass on to my grandmother, who is an avid '60 Minutes' fan, but I decided to 'flip through' it myself. Flipping through soon turned into steady reading! I really was not familar with Andy Rooney except by name, but I very much enjoyed his writing style and stories. His style is clear, concise, and to the point. His stories were wide-ranging and almost invaribly very interesting. I did notice that towards the end, there was some repitition of material, but I suppose that's only to be expected as the volume is a compilation of 'best of' over the course of 60 years. After reading this book, I now have a much better appreciation of Andy Rooney's contribution to American writing (both journalism and TV/broadcasting) and the plain speaking/commonsense thinking that he stands for. I enjoyed this very much and I know that Gram will love it too when I download it to her Kindle for her.Highly recommended!

As stated 60 years of Roonet
Typical Andy Rooney ... worth the read and several years later a re-reread, and so on. Arrived on time and in great condition - NEW.

Andy's Humor Lives On
When viewing CBS' "60 Minutes" I always looked forward to the final segment, which was "A Moment With Andy Rooney". He was not only a man of considerable wit, but also a man with a profound logic to the foibles of the world. He is greatly missed, but these essays keep his spirit alive.

A good read
I've been reading Andy Rooney's essays for many years, and was happy to see a compilation of his work over his long career. His wit and wisdom bring a knowing smile to my face, and I enjoyed reading his book. What's also nice about this book is that you can read an essay or two or more, then put the book down, and pick it back up at your leisure without missing a beat. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read about the humor in everyday life. Andy Rooney remains a national treasure.

It's funny and entertaining
I have a long commute and listen to this in my car. Each segment is short so I don't have to try to remember where I left off. It's funny and entertaining, but there is also a perspective that gets me looking at my life in a different light.
