I bought this game for my son who loves games. He had played the Temple Run app and enjoyed it, so I thought he would like this game. He reports that the game is not much like the app, but we have all had fun playing it.It comes with an electronic idol timer, 4 runner cards and 56 action cards. The timer requires 3 AAA batteries which are NOT included. The game may be played by 2 to 4 players. Each player chooses a runner card and then the appropriate number of cards is dealt to each person. Play begins when the electronic idol timer is pressed and a runner and action are called out. You only have three seconds to discard the right card and press the timer or the demon monkeys screech at you and you have to draw a card. You win the game by being the first one to get rid of all your cards.We have played the game with everyone from a 4-year-old up to grandparents. It is most fun when played with four players.I like the fast pace of the game and the minimal time commitment. The game is over in just a few minutes, but you may want to keep going and play another round or two!

If you don't tap the idol in time, a monkey howls, and you have to draw a card.The goal is to discard all of your cards.The timer goes quickly so advantage goes to the tween crowd.

A quick easy fun game. My 7 year old loves it. Easy set up. No complaints. Met my expectations fully.

I was wary of purchasing this game. But I thought, maybe it will support listening skills. My grade school child had come home declaring it the best game on his friends phone. This card game has been so fun for then to all to crowd around. They get closer and closer as they try harder to hit the button before their 3 seconds are up to play their hand. Shrieks of delight are always preferred to arguing. There are lots of shrieks as the monkey shrieks when they are too late. Good feelings have lasted with this game. Not so with the phone download app.
