We have a local river near our house where people are always losing stuff in the silt underneath as it reasonably fast moving but not too deep. With our 3 boys we decided we should get a metal detector and see what we can find in there, so after finding this one and realising it's got a waterproof coil this meant we could finally get to work on the river bed. First off it's freezing...but hey after bearing through it we managed quite a few find, including some coins and a couple of cheap costume rings. Although they're not expensive finds they were great for our kids.

Only used once at the minute! Could do with more description of how to use it as its not noted properly!
