It’s not aesthetic but it cuts things
I decided that I didn’t want to be an aesthetic girly and I just wanted products that for sure actually worked. So I found this knife on that guy cancelthisclothingcompany site. So I decided to buy it and it’s ugly but it’s really good. Like the plastic handle isn’t aesthetic but it cuts everything and it’s super sharp.

Cheap feeling
This really got so much hype but it’s like cutting with a WalMart $5 knife

A good knife, for the price.
This was my first proper cook's knife, and it has made knife work much less of a chore. No more crying when I cut onions. I've used it a few times a week for about four months now, with no maintenance besides a bit of honing every few days, and the edge is still good. From what I could find, these US-made SofGrip and Sani-Safe knives have better edges than the Dexter Basics line. At the time of purchase, this knife cost 50% less than the comparable Victorinox Fibrox, which is probably the most similar thing on the market. If you are looking for an entry-level pointy object to cut things with, this is a good deal.

Very sharp, well balanced knife with handle that feels great in the hand. Very happy with this knife.

The handle shape is different and the material in the handle is thinner making the knife not at comfortable in your hand
I own two other Dexter Russell knives purchased over the last ten years. The new knife with the same model number has been changed. The handle shape is different and the material in the handle is thinner making the knife not at comfortable in your hand. The blade is just the same. I wish manufactures would not change a winning product.

Dexter steel all the way!
I found out about Dexter knives a while back and they are, hands-down, the best I've ever used. The knives hold an edge well, and they sharpen much easier than anything else I've tried. They are a bit pricey, but I find these easier to use and stay sharper than ANY other name brand or nice looking knife sets you can get at BB&B.
