Handmade European Wooden Chess Set with 21 Inch Board and Hand Carved Chess Pieces

I was very happy with the quality and size of the board and pieces.

Picked this up as an upgrade for my son and have been very pleased. The pieces are sturdy and good quality, the board is solid too. The felt insert on the inside that holds the pieces when not is use is really the only thing that seems cheap about it, but that's not a big deal to me. Overall it's a good looking set, for a great price that has held up well so far.

The board is big and beautiful. The pieces are a nice size and crafted nicely. I've had several chess sets over the years and this is the nicest one by far. Can't get any better at this price point.

Board looks great and it is sturdy. The pieces are well made. I'm glad that I took a shot on this one.

Pieces are large and of good quality. What's even better is the board. The craftsmanship, varnish and embossed features are wonderful. The pieces *fly* off of it so it is suitable for blitz and bullet games.Inside the board are (plastic?) inlays. They're terrible. The first time I opened the box, a few pieces fell out immediately. One of the inlays refuses to stay in place and falls out of the board. This is usually the top one (i.e. the one you are opening to get to the pieces). I'm looking for an alternative to keep the pieces so I can get rid of these inlays altogether.

Biggest, boldest and greatest chess board I've ever seen /purchased. Its very large. Like epic large. And everything about that board is glorious. It's that good that everytime I use it, it makes me wonder why did I've waited so long to order it. It's that impressive.

Got this for my grandson for Christmas. He loves it and will be in the family for a long time.
