The filled capsule "Bean Zyme" is small and easy to swallow and, in my experience, works better than Beano...which is a hard, round tablet...and did not stop gas formation. Following hiatal hernia repair surgery (very large hernia) last summer, my stomach was reduced in size because part of it was used as a natural method to create a new diaphragm around esophagus to close of the herniated area. My whole gut refused to cooperate very well for weeks, and even after months I found that gas developed easily with any food, even bland foods. Probiotics were part of my routine, but didn't stop the enormous buildup of gas, so I was using Gas-X often. It helped, but I wanted to find a way to NOT have the gas buildup, so tried a CVS drugstore product Beanaid, which helped. Then I bought Beano. The Beanaid had been better (a filled capsule), but when I read reviews for Bean-zyme, I bought it and find it to be #1 of the 3. I take a Fortify probiotic in the morning 10 to 20 minutes before eating, then have coffee (with milk) and some breakfast and take Bean-Zyme and my BP med at beginning of meal....and I take Bean-Zyme before every meal. I can now say that of the other enzymes I tried (some suggested by a friend) this routine is working and my solar plexus is much happier. All 3 products are the exact same drug in the exact same, claimed, dose. Stability of the product and delivery into my system must be the key.

Thus really helps with stomach upset when eating things like cabbage and chili. At a fraction of the cost of more popular brands.

We eat beans every week and found that this brand is just as good as Beano but less expensive.
